No idea.

Told in recurrent, no hiring for next year, yet also told we will have a net gain of well over 30 A/C next year. They must be those new UAV corporate jets.

I also had a guy waiting for a class told he will be given a February class date sometime soon after the holidays.

I guarantee their will be hiring. When? Sometime in the future.

First of all.... It is "there will be hiring"...

Secondly I would put a dinner on there not being a class in Feburary, unless there is a miracle in the economy and I won't hold my breath for that.

There is a CE750 initial class scheduled for Jan, 2009 at FSI in CMH. 6 or 8 was what I was told. That said, it's a lot easier for the company to have something and not need it (sim slots) than to need it and not have it. There was an initial class set for Dec too, and that obviously cancelled.

The only positive I see here is the fact this class has yet to be cancelled. Pure speculation, but if the powers that be were so sure these slots were not needed, I would think they would have given more notice to cancel them earlier. Then again, who knows what the cancellation policy is.

New equipment continues to show up though. N922QS was in the hangar two weeks ago with a whopping 18.5 hrs on the book. Looked like a new G200 as well. I remain cautiously optimistic, and wish all looking for new employment the best in the new year. The same goes for those hoping to remain employed.
