Anyone else find it interesting how they are painting NWA birds but still haven't painted the DAL birds with the "fabric tail" scheme.

And aren't there some 1997 schemes still running around too?

Delta paintjob on a Northwest airplane with a USAirways tail number.

All original NWA planes were always registered with NxxxUS numbers up until a few years ago.

Wrong on the Airways tail number theory there.....Airways is AU UW on the Bus...the US numbers at Airways were only affixed to 737's and A330's before the AY and UW re-reg.....

I still like NWA's paint scheme better!!

For some reason, I cant see Delta flying an Airbus aircraft. Just doesn't seem right.

PS- Only because I know Delta as Boeing/MD airline, and nothing more than that. So no knock to the NWA guys.

Too much white..needs a stripe or something...and the Delta name has to be a bit larger. Tail looks fine.

They flew A310's for a while in the 90's.

Not until we have a single operating certificate...12 to 18 months

In the meantime a NWA plane painted DAL livery will use the callsign, "NWA xxx, DA" colors."

Never buy a white car. I give these 3 months before they start looking like crap. Midwest winters are going to kill that clear coat.

Plus you'll never find it in the employee lot after a blizzard buries it while you're out flying your trip;)

Merry Christmas everyone !!

1. Negotiate a joint contract first.
2. Negotiate or arbitrate a joint pilot seniority list second.
3. Then paint the airplanes!!

You know, it might be crazy enough to work!!!!

Makes you kinda wish that we thought of it first, doesn't it ?
