Excellent idea. It will probably make more sense for me to give at the office than contribute here though.

This might be the best idea.....if you work at a company that has laid off/furloughed pilots maybe you should get a fund together and distribute for your company.

If you want to list information on where to contribute so others outside the company pilot list can contribute that would be good.

I think this is the most efficient way to get the money and get it distributed to the people that need it most.

TO ALL WHO HAVE BEEN FURLOUGHED:

All these furloughs at Christmas are turning my stomach inside out. I have three small kids and I cant imagine...

When I lost my job at Midway, I walked a long road to where I am now. So to all you guys/gals keep your chins up and don't worry yourself sick. Situations work themselves out, its just bad timing right now.

I'm sure someone around here is smart enough and has time enough to spearhead a help fund (I'll donate but cant run it).

To everyone else, lets pitch in some cold hard cash and make sure these pilots can give their kids a Christmas. We throw enough rocks around here 355 days a year. Lets spend 10 helping one other out.

Ideas???

Just wanted to say thanks for the post. I really appreciate stuff like that, I am furloughed CAL, hasn't been a very fun experience. Out pilot group did put together a fund for the furloughees for Christmas, which was very cool. Anyways, thanks the furlough sypathetic post! I wish everyone cared so much about their fellow pilots, we would probably have a lot less problems today! Cheers
