I've asked this within a couple of threads and have yet to get an answer soooo...
Can someone please explain this concept and how it applies to the new DAL SLI. Basically are there going to be former NWA pilots leap frogging throughout the list when a former NWA pilot leaves the list?
Thanks

Pull out, plug in was supposed to account for some of NWA's attrition. It was factored into the list. The list is the list. It will never change. As far as you're concerned it means nothing.

No there is no leapfrogging, the list is what it is. The pull and plug was a method the arbitrator used to credit the NWA side for retirements. (274 total - not enough imho but it is what it is) I have no idea where they came up with that number but those 274 were pulled and the list was constructed. When the list was finished they put those back in. But the % points shown gave the credit to NWA for % the nwa pilots where on the NWA list - those 274. Clear as mudd ;)

Wow, best post I have read about the method. It's over. It means nothing. Move on.

That is quite true. We will all survive. Even if we have to fly the DC-9 out of DTW ;)
Fact is that most of would have wet ourselves to get that on a bid pre 9-11. It was your job to be a wrench for a few years before they let you fly anything!

It is called perspective!

Read the award

If you actually read through the award, it explains it quite nicely, even as to what the rational was. It was a one-time immediate "credit" for projected retirements. Was 274 too many, too few, only time will tell. But the end result is the list is the list from here on out, and everyone moves with any retirements from NW or DAL side of the house.

I understand that. What I am saying is with out the lack of fences people will move off of airplanes, some by choice, some not. It is what it is.

Oops, sorry ACL

Oops, sorry, I meant to quote the first post from Sinica, not yours. I'm pretty sure you read the award.....
I just think it's funny how the award is very easy to read, it's been posted, but still people ask others to tell them what it means/says. That was the main point of the comment. It's also how most of the misinformation gets posted as fact.

I agree that the lack of fences for the junior aircraft, even for say two years, is quite bizarre, but again the union protects the senior folks at the expense of the junior folks. I still think they inverted the list, there would be even more happy people.

Luv,
I was one of the first to read the full award at 2338 on the 8th (maybe that was the problem being late and all). I've read the specific part about pullout plugin specifically again. I guess I rode the "short bus" for too long but it wasn't clear to me.
My question has been answered. Move along....
