Family Airlines has made application to the Federal Aviation Administration (the "FAA") for a 121 Operating Certificate and the Department of Transportation (the "DOT") for a 401 Fitness Certificate. Both certificates are required before Family can proceed with revenue operations. It expects to receive this authority by May 2009, and at that time will immediately commence operations.

Family plans to operate "ultra low fare" non-stop flights to and from high density markets within the continental U.S. and Hawaii, adding international flights at some later date. Plans include the purchase of fourteen Boeing 747/300/400's during the first year, equipping them with 539 "Family Class" seats on the lower deck and 42 "Office Class" seats on the upper deck. The specific use of this type of aircraft gives the Company an advantage over most other airlines and the ability to offer deep discount fares (i.e., one way trip from Los Angeles to New York $69, Las Vegas to Los Angeles $19, New York to Miami $49.00, etc.), that apply to every Family Class seat purchased 30 days or more in advance.

There is much work ahead with preparing various contracts, supervising outside counsel etc. Family Airlines is currently finalizing to private placement documents, one offering $10mm in common stock, the other for $150mm in preferred stock. The airline expects to begin raising funds just after the first of this year.

If you have what it takes along with the ability to sustain yourself on little of no compensation during our certification process, THIS MAY BE YOUR ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY. The position will likely require a minimum amount of your time during initial startup phase and be accompanied by a major compensation package that would begin prior to our upon certification. Work performed prior to certification or funding would be billed on an hourly basis and PAYABLE AT THE TIME OF INITAIL FUNDING.

Please visit our web site at: www.familyairlines.com and if what you see interests you, please forward your resume to: [email protected] to arrange for a personal interview.

I picture bench-like seats with a bunch of skinny people crammed together. The fat people get office class.

This is the second or third time I've heard about this start up over the past 3-4 years. They always seem to be just about ready to start up, then you don't hear about them anymore.

Stay Away from this pipe dream. Just google Barry Michaels of Las Vegas NV to see all the career starts and stops of the CEO. Also notice who he was the guest of for over a year.

This horse turd rears it's head every few years on Flight Info and their website has been around saying the same thing for a few years now.

580 passengers crammed into a 74? How, with a shoe horn?
I've ridden on more than one military chartered 'Freedom Bird' 74 classic with 580+ other folks. To be fair the flight attendants treated us better than I've ever been treated on any other airline. I wasn't a pilot way back then but I'm pretty sure they were operated by Flying Tigers and Arrow Air.

The most I have ever seen (flown) in an economy class only 747-300 was 549 PAX, 2BIA, and 23 FA's. Every seat had a butt in it and the pax were all Japanese. I can't imagine 539 fat a** Amur'cans in a -300 or -400.
