I interviewed a few weeks ago and got the job, during the interview they said that we are staffing for growth due to more 900's coming on property.

They said a few would be nex gen and a few older 900's coming from another Delta connection carrier.

you heard it here first, HOLD ON HERE WE GO!

Welcome to the suck.

....believing what they tell you about growth during an interview.....you're gonna make a great FI BS spreader.

Awesome. I cant wait to screw over another pilot group just so I can be a bad azz -9 driver. Friggin sweet.

Believe 1% of what you hear and 99% of what you see.

I know you are kidding but you know there are guys out there that are so jazzed about flying a -900. There is nothing special about the plane, it is still a CRJ. Nothing special, no autothrottles, hud, vnav. It is still the humdrum proline 21 sytem with the 4200(?) collins fms.

It's not a pro line 21 cockpit... it's pro line 4, which is the same thing that's on a mid 80's challenger. It's still nice, though.

Congratulations on getting the job. But seriously do a little research. There are no new hire classes until at least January, maybe March. The Freedom -900s are only temporary. You will learn to take everything you hear from the company with a grain of salt.

ooooh snap AvroGuy, you got served!

I wasn't trying to serve him, haha. Just never accuse the CRJ of having one of the most modern avionics systems out there. :)

If I wanted to serve him, I'd talk about the size of his mom's butt.

They always tell corporate secrets to guys they are interviewing. I would not doubt someone else besides Mesaba is getting 900's, that is a fact. Remember, when you see them on your ramp, then you have airplanes. Not when you see it on FI

Really? sometimes FI calls it before the CEO even knows. And sometimes when they're on your ramp, it doesn't mean you have them for long.

they said something about options NWA had and decided to give them to pinnacle

I am so sorry for any 9E Captain that has to fly with this tool.

BTW, the group of 9E FO's that all had their sweaters on walking through ATL.....Those stickers on your flight bags that say "Pilots of the Carribien" has got to go.

Talk is they are just holding the 9's for another carrier.

Hint hint

the DC 9's are going to Pineapple? wow thats going to piss off the NWa guys-wait, do you mean the 900's.

Oh!!!... I heard Pinnacle is getting 87 900s!!! I can't believe it... I am so wet!!

why am i a toll for posting what i was told during an interview?

Not sure if that is supposed to be troll or tool. But either works. Yes. Wait until a) the a/c are at the gate and crewed or at least until it is in some sort of "official" press.

sounds like a bunch of you guys just get worked up over nothing, get a life, and get off fi

Work for an airline for a little bit.

Soon, you to will be pissed-off at the world.

Especially if you come to 9E.

I interviewed 4yrs ago and was told that a new contract would be in place soon!

What are they going to say on an interview?

That you will be off of ready-reserve in about a year and should be able to hold the base of you choice by then and once off reserve you will break guarantee.

That your health coverage starts 6 months after you do and you get to take up to a week of vacation in your second year.

That you shouldn’t worry a bit if you have a family since you will be eligible for food stamps and Tenn-Care programs.

I recommend the local Memphis health dept. They have a number of locations that will help the wife and kids while you are away.

Congrats.

You and I are flying the 76 now, we shouldn't talk like that about the CRJ's avionics.

For the six years that I worked at PCL the conversation in OPS and at the school house during recurrent was how close we were to a TA:rolleyes:
