Gentleman,

Just getting opinions from the peanut gallery. I was today told that I will most likely be on the street within the next two weeks. That being said, I haven't been keeping up with the market because I felt extremely secure at my current position. I know, I know... no such thing in aviation.

Right now I'm sitting on 4,900TT with types in the CE-500 and CE-650. I have an EMB-145SIC type as well. Approximately 1,100 jet PIC from the CE-500 and CE-650. Last .299 and PC was on the CE-560 back in August. Looking for anything really but would like a -650 job if I can snag one that someone knows about. Also, I was considering PFT on the BD-700 but from what I've been reading, that's not a good idea. Just was thinking about the contract world.

Any ideas? As always- I appreciate everyones input.

There was a C650 job up in HPN not long ago. Not sure if it is still open.. You up for a move or are you firmly planted?

Hold off on the Type. A Type without time in type does not go very far.

Your current in the Citations, sign up for www.flycontract.com and make some cash doing contract flying while your still current. Plus you might make some good contacts.

Some good websites to search for jobs are
www.climbto350.com and
www.bizjetjobs.com.
Both are pay sites, but worth it if your unemployed. Don't forget to file for unemployement your last day and the best opportunity is still who you know.

Good Luck!

So sorry to hear that LXApilot. Well, I to have joined the club as of today. Completely blind sided by the boss man. If anyone knows of any leads in the northeast CL-604, CL-65, HS-125, 6600TT, 5300jet, 1800PIC. Anything would be greatly appreciated. For all of those in this Sh**y situation I honestly wish you the best.

My experience with Flycontract dot come was weak, at least. 1 call in a year. Similar stories from others that I've spoken with.

Good luck, sorry about bad news.

Maine Aviation out of Portland, Maine has Hawkers and is getting the Corporate CL65's. I don't know if they are hiring but it's worth a try.

Good Contract Sites

Does anyone know of any contract pilot sites that do tend get more notice from potential employers? What I have heard about avcrew.com and flycontract.com have not been encouraging. I'm not sure about others. Of course there is always word of mouth....I have joined the ranks of the unemployed myself after 11 years; we sold the airplane, see you! I'm trying to figure out how viable contract flying is, and can it tide me over till I get something permanent? Can I even cover the training cost?

Good Luck to all in your search. Time to learn to surf!

Still looking around and have had some marginal success talking with some potential contract employers, but nothing solid... I haven't made a dime. I guess I'll suck it up and go file for unemployment.

I was thinking of attending the Dubai Airshow and Aviation convention in two weeks. Anyone think that would be a good opportunity to network and search for a job?
