As an expert on professionalism, could you tell me your reaction if you had mace sprayed in your face when you disputed the bill?

Do you think they disputed the fare and that got them a face of mace? Or was the mace self defense on the part of the cabbie?

So drunk pilots can do whatever they want to another human being which could result it mace retaliation... and then suddenly all bets are off?

How about you don't put yourself in a situation that would antagonize someone to spray you with mace.

I am guessing right now these guys are wishing they didn't drink that much, they didn't haggle over $9 and beat the cabbie..

and most importantly... they didn't end up in the newspaper.....

Me thinks we don't have the all sides of the story...

I think this might be the only time you have ever written anything that even remotely makes sense.
I am willing to bet the boys made a comment that was less than flattering to the cabbie which resulted in the macing, but like you said Im sure no one here knows the real story.

I am really glad to see that you would, with great joy and glee, leap to the conclusion that of course, those "rich" pilots are guilty. Do you think it could be remotely possible that two guys went to a titty bar, got a few beers in them, went to get a sandwich by using a cab so as not to drive drunk, the cabbie overcharged them, when they objected as you probably would, they were sprayed with mace. The guy sprayed with the mace--which is quite painful, reacts by punching the cabbie. He (the cabbie) is a nut anyway based on his already over the top actions, and jumps up spraying more mace at the guys who take him down. Could that be a possible scenario? Why would you believe the scenario that these guys were Waffen SS and enjoy beating cabbies? That could easily be you under a different wierd scenario. Why don't we just wait for the facts before you make more of an a$$ of yourself.

Why are you betting that? Why could the fault not be entirely with the cabbie? You do not know the facts nor do I. I do know that I would side with a couple of pilots who have passed many screening tests, and have a good reputation at their company with no track record of this type of behavior over an unknown cabbie.

I'm giving the pilots the benefit of the doubt on this one.

No comment or insult provides legal justification for aggravated assault with mace.

I doubt the pilots threatened or assaulted the cabbie first...if they didn't want to pay $9, they would have just walked away, not attacked the cabbie.

Assuming the cabbie committed the first assault with the mace, they are probably good with self-defense.
