Mesa and open time

I saw on some boards that some Class acts are Mesa are picking up open time while pilots are on furlough. Are these the same micro wangs that jumped to Freedumb A for the 900s?

The majority of the originals are gone. But at this point MAG is for once in its retched existence is saturated with pilots and over staffed. Me for one, I don't pick up any open-time with pilots on furlough. But its hard to sell to the pilot group since most of them think ,"well if i don't do the flying some reservist will"...But then again, most pilots are not the hard hitting ALPA pilot as myself... I do NO favors for the company.

Have you every met a mesa pilot or even hung out with any? MAG pilots are some of the coolest you will ever know. I have only run into 2 asses my whole time here..If it weren't for the great people in the pilot group..i would of gone crazy

You sound like a socialist. Its alwasy been this way and it always will be... Pilots are too selfcentered.

I have picked up open time in the past myself. But not that often mostly because it's tough to do when your pushing 30 in 7 and a 100hrs a month anyway.

On a positive note yesterday I had one of our FAA certificate inspectors tell me we had an ERJ class scheduled to start soon. If this is true then it looks like our furloughed new hires could be coming back on line.

You guys hardly get any days off. Why pick up flying? Pinnacle isn't much better, but at least I get 18 days off a month. I remember talking with a senior mesa crew in the van, and they told me they were lucky to get 15 days off.

More than a few are MAPD so they paid to get a job at Mesa. Forget about those guys, they wold go on their knees in a second for JO. And even more are there because they either couldn't get hired by any other place. Then there's the other classic Mesa group. The guys with daddys already at a reputable place, just went to a bottom feeder for a quick upgrade. I mean look at the whole MESA operation does it look like they care?
