Careful you once were a "RJ" pilot and saying such things will get you a crybaby post from Flamer1015. :bawling:
Yes. I worked for onelist then, it is still the right answer.

Folks told me my tune would change at mainline. It hasn't. The arguments that onelist benefits the mainline pilots remains true no matter which side of the fence a union member is on.
(1) No alter ego competition
(2) Better seniority
(3) No loss of longevity as you cross "the line"
(4) Company can grow with right sized airplanes and compete more effectively
(5) Not tied to contracts which do not match the operational goals of the Company
(6) More votes and more power for the MEC
(7) Fewer (maybe even completely avoid) furloughs, forever.
(8) Fewer intra-union legal battles
(9) Fewer intra-union constraints on bargaining
(10) Stronger bargaining position
(11) Stronger brand
(12) Better operational control
(13) Better cost control
(14) Less management and operational redundancy
(15) Better pay, as a result of the above, even for the 777 Captains.

Superpilot - I am greatly encouraged by pilots like you and the other "new hires" who understand scope and are beginning to help raise awareness among their peers.

Cheers,

JoeMerchant is JB, and there's no room to stand up under dan's desk.
JB goes his own direction. He and DF see things pretty differently. JB is a bomb thrower who enjoys controversy for the sake of arguement in fine Irish Pub tradition. DF is more moderate and more of a grass roots trade unionist.

I was agreeing with you so much in this thread until you went and said this nonsense. DF may not be as bad as JB, but they're both cut from similar cloth.

PCL you correct me based on your first hand experience with Woerth. I can offer some insights into DF's thinking. If you don't believe me, get George Hopkins on the phone.

The senior leadership of our union took a swerve away from all it held holy regarding alter ego. They had to in order to facilitate the political reality that lead to the sale of scope. They continued to pay lip service to ALPA's moral compass, while disregarding it and allowing our union to disintegrate one contract at a time.

None of that changes the fact that Dan filed a multi-billion dollar lawsuit against his own union, Fins. That is unforgivable.
