DAL/NWA New Paint Job?

Yup. Pix were up on the nwapeople.com site for a few days.

White, with "delta" in the current "nwa" font on the forward fuselage. A small circle forward of that, with the compass pointer being the red widget curently being painted on the tails of DAL jets.

The existing DAL tail survives.

New pilot uniforms:

- cargo shorts.
- beanies, with F/O's and S/O's getting 3-bladed props...and CA's getting 4-blades.
- khaki safari shirts with epaulets.
- ...and name bars.

I never saw that on nwapeople but i am looking forward to the above uniform suggestions.

No just the one that we are using now, with your peal white that you are using as your base.
That would be a good looking jet.

I thought I read that Delta was keeping its' "emergence" scheme unchanged.

I'm not a fan of the hybrid scheme. Dilutes both brands and there is a reason that Delta's brand survives.

Also, not a fan of "pearl" paint on airplanes. It is tough to match the color and looks pretty rough after the inevitable touch up that happens every few years. American Airlines polished silver is probably the smartest livery in the skies. Why carry thousands of pounds of paint around the World on a 747, or 777?

(no disrespect to NWA's people, but their management had a way of making customers mad and I saw a pretty amazing example of a NWA flight attendant this weekend - she held a flight for three + hours because she refused to pay $22 for a cab and get reimbursed, she ended up riding with my crew because that ride would get billed to NWA directly)

If that was PHL I was the FO. You don't have all the facts. She did not delay the flight at all. It had taken her 3 hours to get to the airport to replace our FA. We were delayed from the previous night for weather and crew duty day. She was actually waiting on us in the morning. By the way she didn't like your comments towards her about FAs at your hotel or anything the van driver said. If this wasn't phl disregard.

Always a big fan of the old NWA paintjob, before the silver-bullet came on several years ago. If it's up to me, i'll just leave things the way it is, and spread the wealth around. But hey, it's big D, and we always seem to find ways to spend money that we don't have plenty of
