DAYTON, Ohio - A Northwest Airlines plane made an emergency landing Sunday at Dayton International Airport, interrupting the city's air show

The Boeing 757 was en route from Tampa, Fla. to Detroit when a computer for one of its engines failed, Northwest Airlines spokeswoman Leslie Parker said in an e-mailed statement.
The computer failure prompted the crew to shut down the engine and land as a precaution, she said.
Nobody was injured. Six crew members and 182 passengers were on board.
The Dayton Air Show at the airport was halted while the plane landed but resumed less than an hour later.

Well, at least I don't think they had "Truckosaurus" this year...heaven forbid something so important to aviation would get interrupted! The Dayton Airshow is a joke anymore....went from being I think the world's 2nd largest airshow, to being some laughing stock.

Are you mocking "Truckosaurus"? I would be veeery careful if I was you.

I took a gal to Oshkosh years ago and we saw that Semi truck powered by a rocket. To this day that's all she remembers! The worlds greatest airshow and she remembers a fast semi!

BG, it's sad, but you're 100%. Seems like they can't even pull one of the jet teams about half of the time. I remember one year where the featured act was some South Americans in some SF-260s. Pathetic...

Can you guys get anything right? It's "The Vectren Dayton Airshow Presented by Kroger". The Dayton airshow is truly a joke. It went from the best to the worst in just a few years.
