I think that DAL will be ordering some new 747-9 newbies for the merged airline. In addition to carrying a large amount of pax, it can swallow a lot of cargo.

Please call Boeing and let them know when they should start building the -9. There are currently 14 B747-400's left to be built before they start with the B747-8. So far only one order for the pax model, all the rest are freighters.

Ha, guess he doesn't care too much about CAL leaving SkyTeam. At least that is the vibe I get. Remember he once worked at CAL.

He probably did, for other US carriers. In between CAL and DL he went to work for Alitalia.
