I think 2 or 3 did show up but they were not in uniform. The rest were not told about it.
We actually met in the 1224 parking lot for the march.
again at the rally today in ILN. What are you guys doing over there, working on a powerpoint for DPWN? Beyond words, pitiful.
For years now you Astar folks have been telling us how the ABX ground workers are the reason for your delays. "They loaded us late on purpose. They pushed us late. They didn't serve napkins with our meals." wah, wah, wah. Now you want everyone to believe you only have their best interests at heart about the job losses. What a bunch of hypocrites. You got caught with your pants down like everyone else and you need to bash ABX pilots to feel better. Don't worry about we are doing. Go ask dasburg and the general what they are up to in regards to your future. Best of luck to you all (seriously). We are all going to need it.
Of course not FB. We're participating because we all need to since DPWN has dropped the nuke. If you guys have other things to do, ok then. I never thought I'd see the day where ALPA acted more like Teamsters than Teamsters do. How many times have you guys picketed since this all started? I think it's zero. We're lobbying and visiting DC as well, but we've always got time for some good old fashioned picketing.
Maybe that's because you have extra pilots hanging around from their sick calls recently. The ABX guys were probably out flying recovery trips. And before you get all riled up about that, you need to tell us when you are calling to make a point to management. That way we can differentiate between that and the usual recovery we do for Astar
Absolutely. I was just responding to your own "flying boxes and rotor and wing". What's that they say about glass houses and stones? All the bickering aside, we are taking care of the things we deem most critical as are you. I live local and hurt more than you can know for all my neighbors and friends that work the sort, maintenance and the office. Certain Astar pilots have maintained that you should have moved back to CVG and your problems would be solved. There was no concern for the thousands of job losses that would have meant. Why now? Because now it includes you. Believe me when I say I don't want this to happen to anyone(even Astar). If you guys want to do extra flying, that's your call. If you want to sound like a kid, that's your call too. Been plenty of mud thrown by both sides. Don't you think it's about time to knock that off?
I still say FIGHT! :angryfire

Not flaming here FB, but the 1224 Sec/Treas was advised of our plans in advance. We'd hoped there would be some action on their part. Obviously, the Exec. Board isn't interested. Been that way forever. We call, nothing happens. Of course, now you're going to say that's not true, and I'm not going to bother refuting you.
Well then the 1224 sec/treasurer kept that to himself. See, I didn't say that's not true.
Well, then I stand corrected.![]()
