Since Eastern Airlines had the same paint scheme for many years before they ceased operations, do you think they would still have the same paint scheme today if they were still in business?
Why don't ailines sell space on their big airplanes for advertisment? Look that 767 looks like it flies for NASCAR!

I've always liked the Saudi Airline's paint job and logo, right down to the double scimitars crossing each on the vertical stab. Kind of reminds me of their judicial system.
Actually it's not that dumb of a post. I was thinking about this the other day while sitting in CVG. CAL has had their paint job since 90-91. It works. Delta has painted their aircraft and changed their logo 3 times in that same period of time. How much does it cost to change equipment logos, aircraft paint, jetway bridge logos, various airport logos in the interior, company stationary, uniforms, etc, etc... How much money do these companies have to waste on rediculous things. Just pick a damn paint job and stick with it! The original widget was perfect.
AA has had the same colors for at least the last 20 years.
No they haven't. They had those gay stripes back then...
They haven't what? What are you refering too? Delta's stripes? Most airlines have stripes on their plane. I liked the widget personally. The new one looks like a larger compass pointer. Maybe that's why they painted it, for the merger.
