I watched a guy use it to smoke a cigarette when the conga line to the runway was gridlocked. :laugh:
 
I use it to throw the signed copy of the release to the rampers if we have already closed the main cabin door.
 
I know a SkyWest crew that had to use it a few years back due to the cockpit door being stuck....
 
Word is that one of the larger IP's here climbed through it in the hanger for a couple hundred in a bet.

That's exactly why the ERJ has sliding side windows.

My FO had a jetpipe overheat while in the taxi line at PHL. He went back to the lav to clean up and I used the escape hatch for ventilation.
