Anybody hearing rumors about a new start up out of Hawaii called Aloha operating B777's?

No jokes please.

Yes, it will be all business class and fly to Stanstead...oops, sorry...

Yes there is something pretty nice coming down the pipeline for the Aloha guys. Not going to the the as working for the old Aloha, but better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

Sorry that's all I can say at this time.

Geeze. OK, I'll bite! What do you hear?? Since there is no more "Aloha", how would the former pilots benefit?

Check with your former ALPA reps. Can't believe that they are clueless regarding this topic. I would say more but I think it's proprietary and I don't need any hassles from those supposedly in the know.

Come on guys. I cannot and will not be the one to devulge this info. I simply cannot figure out why this is not known to the Aloha pilots group and suggest you take it up with your ALPA reps along with any other goverment officials that may be close to your situation.

Just rumors. That 's all. I thought it was the 787 instead of the 777...

Now you sound like an Aloha ALPA rep/negotiator... let's just say that communicating with the membership wasn't their forte.

Spill the beans, Spooky.

Why post it at all if you are not going to divulge what you know? Next time just PM one of the Aloha pilots and ask him directly.

777 shuttle around the Hawaiian islands - that would be interesting indeed...

Simply because I thought I thought the Aloha guys would have gotten wind of this. Funny you should mention the B777?

Any AQ pilots have anything on the status of the cargo guys? Last I heard they threw out the contract and disregarded the seniority list.

Not only that, Dan... to make matters worse, EVERYONE interested had to re-interview for the cargo job. If you ever filed a grievance, you didn't get the job. If you asked too many questions, you didn't get the job. If you were a good ol' boy who didn't cause any waves... you're in.

and dont call in sick either.... what? you've got a doctor's note you say? you're still fired.

dont want to come in on your day off? thats ok.. you can have the rest of your life off... you're fired.

both are actual events.. no warnings.. just flat out fired.

1) Where is anyone going to find available 777s? There are none.

2) Loads in Hawaii presently can't justify a 777-themed business model at $130 bbl oil.

3) Credit markets are kinda dry at the moment. Who is going to finance a 777 start-up? Ok, sure there is plenty of private money but it's gotta' be someone with burn-money... aka, money to burn.

I wish the former pilots of Aloha the best. They are my union brothers and sisters. I just think it's irresponsible to give false hope.
