He has a point. It does not mean that he is not nervous over his current position. It just means that is less nervous
We all wondered where the cuts were going to come from. Well we are starting to see that DAL will try to cut regionals before majors. If they loose, I guess they will start to cut us.

Precisely!! I figured that since i am in my upper 20's i should have much better career progression at NWA or the new DAL than i would if i had stayed at my regional. I saw it as Risk vs. Reward and the potential reward was worth the risk for me personally. The Short term might be shaky but in the long run it will pay off. Jmoney, its going to be a bumpy ride in every sector of this industry and in my opinion the biggest sector effected will be the regionals. When i retire i will be sure to get back on here and let you know how it all worked out. We shall see, good luck Jmoney ;)

Yes, you may get an unwanted vacation, but the fact is that IF oil stays where it is, this is the perfect storm that was needed to make the predictions of deregulation happen.
This airline mess has the best chance of sorting itself out this time. No one for the first time in a long time wants to put money in to this industry. It will allow the sharks to eat the sick and dieing fish. I do not see bail outs in this round. Only when we have thinned our heard will that happen.

Maybe, maybe not, who knows. Could be no furloughs, could get furloughed, could flow back to compass/mesaba, could go do something else in the mean time. Who knows, there isn't much we can do about it so getting bent out of shape is pointless. In fact it might be nice to go do something else and be home every night with the wife and kids;). IF there are furloughs it shouldn't be long lived with the plans of the new DAL has + retirements from both sides. Like i said, we shall see.

The Cap End obligations for the CRJ leases aren't included. Our BOD member made a very specific point of explaining this to our MEC when NWA started buying them.

But the simplest truth is this: The DC-9-40 and -50 operate cheaper than the 50-seat RJ's.
The figures I posted were using Comair and SkyWest rates. I do not have the figure for NWA's RJ's, but given the similarities between ASA, Comair, & SkyWest it seems likely that yours fall in the same range.

Regardless, the issue is not the airplane as much as it is the scope. We need to ensure this flying remains on the list. As you know, there has been a pattern of outsourcing ....

800,

You are not giving enough information. Is it one of the places where there is no physical contact or one of the places that they are all over you dry humpin? Has she been giving you attention and telling you how hot you make her while getting you to buy her $10 drinks or just going thru the motions with that far off look???? Or is it a all nude byob place and she is constantly bumming your milwaukee best lights? Just not enough info to give you advice at this time.:D

What do you guys typically tip for a lap dance? Attractive girl, 2 songs? Thanks.

Hmmm

Just trying to lighten the mood! Excellent questions on your part. Well thought out. I don't tip. Cheap airline pilot.

I understand your nervousness, thats why i left the regionals. Good luck

I would be even more nervous at a major. Delta is only bleeding to death and is trying to toss over ANYTHING that they can to survive. Like a sinking ship. Delta might just go out of business. Good luck to ANY airline employee!

 Thanks for the heads up. Evidently you are very informed on the status of NWA/DAL

After DL takes over NWA, we will have close to $7 billion in cash, and that will help us out last most airlines out there during this high oil environment. It is all about who has the cash to get through this. Good try and try to do some research next time.

Bye Bye--General Lee
