I have 3 weeks off and i want to go to new zealand or somewhere similar and go kayaking/camping for a good week and a half- has anyone here done this? im looking for a really cool place

Given the time of year this may not be the best idea(think december type weather here in the states).

The Bay of Islands (Paihia, Russell, and Kerikeri) on the northern tip of the north island would be your best bet, but temps will be in the mid-50's to low 60's. The Bay water temps may still be warm enough for kayaking but probably not for swimming. There is a fair amount of stuff to do in the area even if you couldn't get in the water.

enjoy NZ if you go,

Three weeks off. Don't gloat in front of all the starry eyed Mesa wonders.

Don't worry, they are about to get all the "vacation" they can stand!
