Via the regional board----I looked at Flightaware.com for FLO today and 13 Delta FRL E145s came in early afternoon. Wow. Apparently they are being parked. I thought we lost the lawsuit with Mesa? Maybe there was an agreement made?

I believe they are parking them until the July schedule. There was not any flying scheduled for June because DAL did not expect to lose the injunction. I guess DAL will be paying for flying thats not being done. Doesn't sound very smart.

Doork:
DAL management doesn't do many things that are smart. I do believe however, that they would rather pay a fine, rather than have lousy mesa service. This is just an injunction, nothing more until the case can be heard. After that miserable POS cried to the courts that he'd be BK if DAL cancelled his contract, the judge saw fit to initiate the injunction!
I look forward to the day that JO is put out of business!

My guess is DAL is fairly confident that they will ultimately win. Why pay the gas, just park them. If DAL prevails, then DAL would have saved quite a bit on gas, hotels, landing fees, etc.

Are you sure that isn't a Delta paint facility-- aren't they still trying to catch up with the latest paint scheme?

Still trying to figure out why the General brought this to the majors board???? Am I missing something?

Delta is paying for RJs we don't want or need. Some were parked. That sounds like a Delta issue. Thanks for caring.....

Since no one has said it yet, just thought I would chime in:

MESA SUCKS

And, I hope they DIE, Soon.

Is it just me or is it wrong to wish 1500 pilots to be put out on the street? Maybe concentrate on getting J.O. out of Mesa. I wouldnt wish a furlough or job loss on anyone....But that just me...I guess I have morals..

Sorry, but don't really feel sorry for them. They knew what kind of company mesa was when they took the job, if they didn't, they were just morons.

Many are 'PFTers' who were just trying to buy their way into the business. Also, if none of these morons took the jobs year ago, then mesa would have been 'gone' a long time ago, and maybe someone would have been around who treated their people better.

What's the old saying, "you reap what you sow"

Did feel sorry for the skybus morons either. But, then that just me. Sorry, I call it like I see it.

I understand what youre saying. However the s$%t is hitting the fan. Capacity reductions along with furloughs a certainty I'm sick of seeing mainline guys eat s%^t for the last 8 years. Therefore I'd rather see Mesa take the hit than Delta,UAL, or USAir. It sucks to see anyone lose their job, but better some commuter jobs than mainline ones. Something has got to give. It's inevitable.

Its the nature of the business I know...Its a dog eat dog World.....But you can still keep those thoughts to yourself ( Plane Drvr).....No need to help dig the knife any deeper for the mesa people that need to feed your families......And the MAPD program is a lot less expensive than most flight schools out there so your buying your job comment was pretty Ignorant...Do some research before you comment.....It just makes you sound dumb

I don't like seeing anyone lose their job, well, except for the Skybus pilots, but RJs are killing the legacies. They just aren't as profitable as they used to be. Good ole Fred Greed loved them at Delta initially, said they were great for "frequency." Well, then he left Delta and went to Virgin America, where he didn't order even one RJ. High oil kills the RJ market. I can see more Dash-8-400s taking up the slack though, since they are relatively fast and can carry a bunch of people, for less than a CR7. No wonder Horizon is dumping theirs.

The RJ gig is different... The RJ should never have been sold out in the first place- so it stands to reason that the 'right' thing in the long run will have some short term pains. I'm sorry- i want them gone- and every other SJP in the country to go back to flying TP's only. hell, i even want the TP's back on the mainline list. Our seniority system doesn't work if you're splitting up lists- no matter what your reasons are for it.
Until we take a stand and get that fixed- startups everywhere will have zero problem finding good and qualified pilots to fly for peanuts... and you'll be stuck looking in the mirror at the reason why.

Good Ol' Janice say it best. "Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose." Not that's all I got to say about that.

General, Why the Skybus guys?? Was it not also your group leading the charge to drag down industry wide wages?? Oh ya your going to be leading the pack back to the top. You should have time to plan your attack on your long East Africa overnights. Perhaps the rebel groups there can give you some tips.

In that case, you'll make a terrible USAir pilot !! ;)

GL says-"RJ's are killing the legacies".

GL- What was the first RJ? Who built it? What pilot group was the first to fly it? Glass houses and all that.....

I guess you were still instructing in C172s when we brought wages up higher than they have ever been? We had 777 Captain rates of over $300 an hour (atleast $250 more an hour than your Captain rates on the A319). Our rates fell because we went to BK due to poor management at the time and aftermath of 9-11, not due to our high rates. You guys were an embarrassment. The "Shame Train" should have been your callsign, really.

Because he likes to post anything negative about any other airline besides his precious Delta.

Feel free to post something negative about Delta, and I will give my opinion.

Comair got them, and Delta loved them. The key is that we don't have the same management now that loved them. They are all gone with piles of $$$. At a time the RJ was a good tool---to go to cities that couldn't fill a 737-200 (at the time), and bring people to our hubs to fill our 767s. That was great. Now, we don't need them, they can't pay their own bills. So sorry.......glass houses my arse. We just don't need them now.

Bye Bye--General Lee

GL- Wrong. Read "Flying the Line Part II". The first RJ pilots were Delta pilots.

Whatever. Why don't you read "How RJs are now getting parked, by General Lee."

Only if day is paintin' dem all white wif a blue tail..... MESA Sux....
J.O. blows...........
bouyyyyyyyy.....

For the life of me, I cannot imagine why you guys still entertain this retard.

I think he is spot on. Are you telling me that 50-seat RJs are efficient nowadays? Seriously? Prove to me that they make economic sense with oil at these rates? Doubt you can.

Time to wake up - we all need a dose of reality. That's why I'm getting out of the regionals ASAP! C'mon Netjets give me a call!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's something negative.......

$6.7 BILLION!!!!!!!!!
-And don't give me that stupid "paper loss" crap, general!!! You can't post a "paper loss" any more than you can post a "paper profit." The value was on the books, now it is gone...... Not a good thing!

-May I suggest an Intro to Business Accounting course so you will one day understand how badly this mgmt. is hosing the company.....
