Of course it will be shut down. The N-I-H mentality reigns!

There's no money in cargo anyway. If there were, Delta would have a cargo division. TC

I heard the 747-200s will go away eventually. They will be ran as they are currently (losing money) merely to preserve slots in Asia.

Good old Occum's Razor stated once that a rumor was out there stating that we (DL) already have the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) to put side cargo doors on our 767-300ERs and maybe use them in ANC. We already fly 767-300ERs through ANC to HKG for regular mx, so we have flown some of those types of routes with the 767s. (along with the 764s)

Bye Bye--General Lee

I think that will happen and you will also see a decent size cargo operation out of ATL also. the 747-400s are rumored to be converted to frieghters once the 787 shows up.we shall see.

by the way I think you bag on Occam because he has much more credibility then you and he definitely has better material then you do. I think your turn is "oh snap"

More credibility? I don't care. I report what I hear, and you can determine the rest. I can see the 744s going to ANC too, but will a 787 replace the capacity of a 744? Doubtful. Sounds like a 777LR would. That is what is important.
