Pinnacle's work rules are far superior to Mesa's. Not even close.similar work rules
Pinnacle pilots are paid better than Mesa pilots.less pay
Both Mesa and Pinnacle have a contract. Pinnacle is on their third contract since joining ALPA.no contract
The arbitrator will soon issue a ruling on the -900s rates, and there will be retro pay back to December when the -900s started flying.no 900 rate
That's just all regionals, nowadays. Listening to Acey copilots talk on the radio in ATL can be painful sometimes.fos who cannot speak on the radio
I applied at Pinnacle because I thought they were hiring street captains.
Unfortunately, they're saying it's for FO position with a promise of a quick upgrade.. heh, been around this game long enough to know better. Besides, my unemployment pays more than 1st year Pinnacle FO.
Sad, but true..
So is the realistic timeline for street captain roughly 7 months before you see captain pay?
Don't even consider going to Pinchanickle. I don't want to have to say "I told you so", like I told the last guy who didn't listen.
Plus 7 months from now, Pinnacle will be shut down. STFD!

If you are happier collecting unemployment, go for it. I am glad to see my tax money put to good use.

They will probably shrink drastically in the future but that's only if there is a NW/Delta merger and Mesaba and Compass aquire all the options for the 900 and the 170. Then and only then will they begin to park a large majority of Pinnacle's 200's.
Jeez, another one getting into the industry! All we need is more TOOLs. Lovely, Just Lovely!
