You cant accurately, even if that was possible in this industry, put a time frame on upgrade times for newhires. There was a gap in hiring for 6 years. It also depends on merger or no merger, etc. 747 SO slots are pretty much given to who ever wants it and people are going straight to block holders right now. hope that helps.

According to the threads here, if the NWA negotiators get their way, new hires will upgrade on the 777 in two years or less.

Jimmy, maybe you should go somewhere else....we don't need a new general lee.

Yeah, come on now. There can only be one of me around. I provide valuable insight, interesting factoids, and undeniable entertainment. I also give a weekly performance at the Laugh Barn in Marietta each Thursday night. Make sure you tip your waitress..

Bye Bye--General Lee

As a newbie, I got a block line with 17 on and 13 off. However, I was able to trade it to 16 on and 14 off. Also, being a commuter, I traded for 16 days' straight duty. Trips are not bad...includes some 3 day Shanghai trips, several 36 hr overnight Tokyo trips, and some domestic (LAX). You'll fly with a great bunch of folks and have a blast on the road!
