The AWA MEC "tried to deal with the seniority issue" just like the NWA and DAL MECs are trying to deal with the "seniority issue"......

We all saw this train wreck coming.....The senior most AWA pilot had about the same LOS as the junior most AAA pilot....This is the most lopsided seniority integration EVER....

The most lopsided seniority integration EVER?? Are you kidding.. how about when AA stapled 3/5 of the TWA seniority list (all who were actively working, not furloughed) behind their brand new hires? You need to do some homework, boy. The TWA guys slobber over the deal that the US folks got.

Why we insist on there being such a divide between "senior and junior" in this business is beyond me....but it results in these p!$$ing contests......

A few years ago AWA 757 captains topped out at $124 per hour....senior USAir FOs were making about the same.....A junior post deregulation carrier merged with a senior pre-deregulation carrier is a recipe for no unity....no matter who the union is....

I disagree. There was plenty of unity before the Nic award. It was only when the east got hit with the realization that they were'nt going to be able to steamroll the west that the unity came to a screeching halt.

badcat,

By "lopsided" I meant the difference between the two groups....Like I said the senior most AWA pilot had the same LOS of people who were at the bottom of the AAA list....That is the most lopsided seniority list integration ever.....Many of us saw this trainwreck coming......

LOS doesn't seem to factor much in this union......that will come back to bite us in the end.....

So is Roger Hall II the son of UAL Roger Hall? Aka the one who lost out to Babbit? If so, its ironic that the son is working for that "other" airline.

So you are saying that if there was a National Sen. List (NSL) this intergration at APA/TWA would have been smooth? The AWA/AAA would have been done with by done?

If so...

Let's hear your ideas about coulda shoulda woulda...

How should a NSL have been done up?

And... how should we put together today?
