I have a NWA interview coming up early in April. Does anyone have any good info as to what to expect. Also any info on where if successful I might end up, base and equipment?
Thanks in advance.

Everyone is getting either the DC-9 DTW or 747 SO in ANC. I hear MSP and MEM are pretty junior on the DC9 as well. I'd recommend the book "Checklist for Success" by Cheryl Cage. They make you sign a confidentiality agreement at the interview so you're not gonna find too much gouge out there. They do their best to put you at ease. It was the best interview experience I've had. The sim is really basic instrument flying. The day I was there they used the 747-200 and 747-400. Good Luck!

So much for the rumor that interviewing/hiring has stopped. Great news and good luck.

April...good to hear! They're putting people into pools now do to a backlog in training...including myself. Interview was VERY positive and friendly...enjoy:beer:

Did they give you an idea of when your class might be? I heard they were filling June classes but that was a few weeks ago

Congrats!!

Lots of people interviewing right now. I think classes are being filled for July right now but i am not 100% sure.

"Did they give you an idea of when your class might be?"

Sometime this summer was what they told me.

So far, in the last month, my class date has moved twice- originating on june 5, to june 12, and now May 5- which is fantastic. No real answer as to "why" this happened when i asked, but something along the lines of re-structuring the hiring movement for better flow. I say the sooner the better though, really just to get out of this place / and of course seniority.

Could be her grandaughter. Or the girl that comes over to feed the cats.

Any idea on how often you can update at NWA? I submitted my stuff several months ago and tried using the "update" link and it stated that my stuff was already submitted.

Also, does anyone know how the walk-in/refference thing works there? There doesn't seem to be too much info out there on how the entire process at NWA works. And BTW yes I did a search and didn't find much recent stuff - could be I am using the wrong key words.

Any insight might be helpful. Hoping having an A320 type and experience will help but who knows.

Fin where are you hearing that DAL would do 120. I was told 60 per month again in April. It basically will be that way for a very long time. Well, that is until it changes again.
Looking at more than 500 this year. Not going to give numbers, but it will be good.

Glad to hear NWA has resumed interviewing. Delta says new hire classes going over 50 people every two weeks, with some reports of 120 a month.

Got confirmation that the NWA Comm requested the DAL comm to return to the table. The merger might be in a coma, but it is not dead.

Just wanted to point out that NWA never stopped interviewing. That was a rumor. FWIW

Web board rumor. I may have misunderstood the 60 number and thought it was an increase from the 50 number, rather than a decrease. Mea Culpa.

I interviewed mid February at NWA at got the June 9th class. I'd love to get moved up though... May would be much nicer...

What are you talking about? We've got a lot of pretty young things coming in now after the BK exit.

DOo you?

I wouldn't brag too much...Delta's been the hands down King of the 'Battle Axe' FA for generations.

Do the FA's still stay in separate hotels? Never was sure why that was necessary, especially at Delta.

Want to get a pool going on the winner for the cage fight from the first NWA Senior Mama and the first DAL Southern Belle to fly together?

"and in this corner...."

I put my money on a 50 year old Norwegian chick with serious attitude over a former southern belle (at age 50 a southern girl no longer gets the 'belle' designation :D ).

However, from what I'm told those ol' Delta 'battle axes' still give everyone hell back in the cabin.

There is still no way to update the application online.

atpcliff...did you get hired by airtran? thought i remember you saying you went to the MKE job fair and got an interview.

inthepool,

I interviewed mid Jan and got mid Apr class date.
I asked about move-ups and they rarely happen.
FYI, you will not get called to set up the physical until 30 days prior to class date (or so). Seems they don't submit fingerprints until that time frame, so don't think there's a hold-up on background checks (as I did). See you there, congrats!
