Bases at US Airways?

are any of the April new hires going to be able to get phl as a base or will it be all west?

I assume you bid on a/c and bases when you show up for INDOC rather than being assigned. I can only hope that there are eight guys senior to me who want to go out West. Good luck to me!

I hope you are younger than 44 and/or there are 10 guys wanting to go out west. I know a guy who will be in class older than I, and both of us want the East too!

Who knows commuting to PHX might go smoother than commuting to PHL! uke:

It does seem ridiculous that new hires don't have the right to bid what side and contract they want once the seat locks are up.
I definitely call BS on the america west poolies not being allowed to bid west after their year is up- which is half over already. Why would the unions or company care on this?

I agree if I got west I'd love to trade with an East guy who didn't want to be there! It's a shame it's not so simple (sometimes unions complicate things).

I'm sorry Sioux, I won't be any competition for ya. I'm actually slated for March as well as that other old guy. I wasn't paying attention to what months you guys had made reference to. That'll teach me to try to send posts to FI while feeding my kids dinner!:0
