Is it just me or is anyone else frustrated by the fact that the group(DALPA) that will be representing us in a possible merger is playing like management and keeping us in the dark as to what is going on? Last month they began beating drums with the announcement of a meeting in late January, but cancelled that and nothing since. I have sent emails in regards to my feelings and I am sure others have, but if only our elected officials are discussing how to handle this behind close doors without the group at large's input, I have a good feeling I will be on the street again. Anyhow, just wondering if anyone else has heard something from the DALPA?? Guess we will all find out from the gas station attendant on the way to work next week...

The absense of any concerns, or negative comments, is notable.

Fuzzo,

Instead of posting here, go to DBMS and pull up your reps phone number and give them a call.

Thanks DAL737 done that a couple of times and then some, just wondering what the general group was hearing and thought is all. Anyhow, yeah I will continue to call everyweek as I have for the last 6 weeks just to make sure they don't forget my opinon :)

Then come back here and post a transcript of the entire conversation :)

Most excellent idea

Pretty much read Lee's letter and you will get the gist of what I have heard. Nothing yet about what we are gonna require to support this merger, I would assume our concerns are being taken into account:)

When you elect representatives, you are imbuing them with a certain degree of trust to actually do the representation. It is highly likely that your reps were required to sign confidentiality agreements, which is why there is probably a lot less open discussion and updating.

My advice would be to call a rep.
