I have a electronic logbook that I printed out for the interview in a professional binder, which looks very good and the numbers add up exactly to the tenth.

However, when I put my flight time into airlineapps.com it rounds the numbers to the nearest whole, and my flight time summary in airlineapps.com doesn't match what's in my logbook. some of the numbers are off by 1-2 hours. I can't really fix this because it's out of my control.

A. Does Delta know this is a problem, or are they going to grill me over this?
B. Am I being a bit obsessive-compulsive, and really need to chill out with a pint?

Thanks,
Jockey

Chill out with 2 pints and celebrate getting the interview. If the question comes up simply state the reason that you explained here. The only logbook question they asked me was what are the different colored tabs for? In my book it was for every new a/c type and a change in airlines, on hearing the answer the book was closed and we moved on. The logbook portion of the interview was a sum total of 20 seconds.

After the pint's wear off, concentrate on studying the different areas for the technical and try to do an online practice session for the cogscreen. Do an interview prep course if you feel the need, you've gotten this far why risk blowing it over $300? Navy blue suit and RED tie, be a clone for the interview and an individual after you are on property!

Best of Luck at DAL!

Thanks Andy!

I've been studying technical stuff for a while now (mainly to complete my JAR exams), and feel confident about the technical stuff...The JARs are a beaoch, about 10X harder than the ATP written. Did some research on the COGSCREEN, and went to luminosity.com to get the brain working again. Been studying the gouge for the panel, did a taped session with a buddy of mine (learned a lot),and I'm doing prep with Air Inc. Navy suit with red tie packed and ready to go!

Anything else you would recommend?

Don't worry about the times not matching, no one has a calculator out checking your math. They also asked me about calling in during any reserve period I might of had and also holidays. One of the interviewers did notice that I had worked every Christmas since I was employed at my previous company and that seemed to suit Delta just fine. The gouge that Air Inc. has for the cog test is dead on and I would suggest taking a few notes during that part because it will help significantly. Good Luck.

Yes, that was directly from my logbook. I guess Thanksgiving isn't as apparent since it is on a Thursday and not the same date every year.

Don't worry about time differences. Somehow, Airlineapps gave me about 100 hours more of PIC time than my logbook showed. It has something to do with how it figures out student time and solo time vs how I figured it out in my logbooks. They never brought it up in the interview.

They did look very carefully at my flight time around major holidays. In my case, I have not had to work a major holiday until very recently. One of the interviewers actually wrote down all the dates on his notepad and asked me about it. I explained that I was either a very senior FO on the reserve list or a senior FO line holder, so I was able to bid around them. Then, when I upgraded, we had a baby son and I took FMLA which spanned Thanksgiving, Xmas and New Years. I also pointed out that I did fly this past Xmas and New Years and that I never called out for any of this stuff. That seemed to satisfy them. They did ask me several times if I was ever unable to make a trip or if I was ever not available for duty (was was never), even saying that "when" they ask for my attendance records, what would it say. They also asked me to rank my attendance record, with 0 being never showing up for work and 10 being perfect. I told them I would be an 8 or a 9 since I have called out sick. That included once in the middle of a trip when I came down with laryngitis. I did add that I contacted scheduling right away and that I was able to fly back to the hub where the rest of my trip was recrewed.

They are very big on attendance but as long as you have a credible explanation, you'll be fine. I'm currently waiting for a class date.

Thanks everyone for the input...nothing was asked about the time difference.

BTW, got the conditional offer. Things are happening real fast at DL. Interview 11-12 a day now and classes of 50 now happening. Interview yesterday 11 Feb and they are saying March 28th for class. This is so awesome!
