Do we have our rigs at ASA yet?

.....that's the confusing part.....5+years of chest thumping "burn the house down".....then roll over on the little stuff.....To top it off it's 5 days before the 31st, and over 2 months since the signing, and still no official word on it.....

I don't know. As Sweptback proudly pointed out, "the weekly emails usually go out on Fridays" but it's now Saturday and still nothing but crickets chirping. Our reps have become completely unaccountable to the pilot group. You call them and all they do is argue with you as to why they are right and you just "don't get the big picture". Meanwhile, money is slipping through our fingers and ASA/SkyWest Inc is laughing all the way to the bank. Nothing the company promised has been delivered as intended. And now we're getting memos that we're suddenly responsible for babysitting ATL ops to ensure on-time departures? Hello, ALPA, wake up!

Didn't we go to the gate to pick up the release at DFW? What's the big deal? As more and more gates get jetways, we'll be walking to the airplane from the gate. It makes sense to get the release right then and there.

Not to mention about every other airline gets their release from the gate as well. That's one of the reasons why this new idea came, because ASA was the only DCI carrier in ATL that needed the release delivered. Delta wants to run the ramp/gate staff very lean and they didn't want an extra gate agent whose only job is to check on the crews to see if they're ready and give them releases.

I knew I just "don't get it". Of course ASA and Delta are right! Why should Shanaynay have to walk out in the cold and rain to deliver those lazy pilots their release? Make them earn all the money they extorted from us in that new contract of theirs! Make them come get it!!! :rolleyes:
 
Look, I'm with you. I don't think this will change anything either... but I personally don't mind going to the gate for any other reason than to make sure a JS doesn't get left behind with our hoky new pass system.

That's a valid point. I'll go out of my way to help a fellow pilot.

I won't go out of my way to help a company that does not value me as an employee, refuses to recognize the contribution I make to its bottom line, and in fact, usually finds a way to blame me for all of its problems. As they have done once again in this case with the "new" boarding procedures

But what about BH's new plan for success?
And I quote....

I actually had hope and thought maybe someone around here who finally gets it....but, I wanna see some evidence this is more than words! What is ASA gonna do to improve employee satisfaction??? I've never seen it. In fact, all I see lately are screw ups, more failed policy and new contract violations.

I digress.........
