Just sent out via the company email...

"Due to a processing delay and Monday banking holiday, there is a possibility your January 22nd direct depost paycheck may be delayed until Wednesday, January 23rd. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience. If you have any questions, please contact...."

I have a question - Did MLK JR Day sneak up on you this year?

Yet another example of how SKYW can violate their own policies (getting paid on the 7th / 22nd) and we have no recourse without representation.

looks like the SKYW 65% will have to wait another day for money to buy more kool-aid, hair gel, and new backpacks.

This happened last year at Chautauqua over the same holiday. There was nothing we could do either. I guess we could have wasted some of our time and filed a grievance, but no one did.

Damn it! Although I don't use hair gel, I need a new backpack! Now I'm gonna go get me a Kool-aid.......and tequilla ;)

...and the recourse at other airlines is......?

The recourse at other union airlines would be to file a grievance for violating the contract and not paying the pilots on time. Although many grievances are open to interpretation, paydays are not. A standard practice at my previous airline for grievances affecting the entire pilot group was awarding anywhere from 4-8 hours of flight pay as compensation (and these were successful more often than not).

Paydays have fallen on weekends and holidays before without incident. I would be unsuccesful in getting an advance on my paycheck, so why is it okay for them to pay late? I cannot pay my mortgage a day late without a penalty. I cannot pay my bills late without fees. Yet SKYW sends out an email and delays the entire payroll by a day. On a side note - Who is keeping the interest from over 10,000 employees payroll?

The house boats needed new tiki torches, the bottoms moss will be scraped off by 1st year f/os.

I kind of feel like this happens to me on the 1st and 15th of every month, my check is always off by about 20%, oh wait thats because thats how much of a paycut I took to get to your level of pay. I hope they forget to pay you every month then just shut you guys down.

Complainers, whiners, and boobs. I can't remember a time when I haven't gotten my paycheck at least a day early, usually two. They screwed up once. Have you guys ever made a mistake while doing your job. Chances are you have. Everybody relax and pop a few more blood pressure meds.

Slow news day if this is all you guys have to gripe about.

Well said. Makes me wonder how many of these guys whining on here were turned away at the SkyWest interview and are now at Mesa or TSA....and are so bitter there that they can't even bare to live a normal life without checking flightinfo to get their next hourly complaint in.

I've been waiting on the Air Force to pay my travel voucher for over a month now. Someone screwed up and delayed the checks 1 day. Not that big of a deal

Only a month? Thats pretty good! :) I'm deploying soon and looking forward to not getting paid for the first couple of weeks, since orders are so backed up..... Looks like I might have to take a few $75 cab rides to make up for the interest... ;)

They started sending all the travel vouchers to a central location for processing. They have no way of tracking it. All they can tell me is that it's sent. Do yourself a favor and take a big cash advance before you submit your voucher. I didn't and they owe me six weeks of per diem at $49/day. My next TDY I think I'll be taking cabs everywhere too

It's hard to top the 757/CRJ SFO cornholing and the 777 bellyflop, just working with the material available.
