You use the QC2 setup in the beech? If you're happy with it in the beech...it should work well in the Q400.

Yes, that's true. The power light will start flashing at least 5 hours before it actually runs out, so you have plenty of warning to swap it out before the next leg.

I can usually get about a week and a half's worth of flying out of a single AAA battery. I simply put a fresh one in at the start of my 7-day tour, and then I never have to worry about it. I keep a couple in the headset bag.

Naw, I use it in a Citation Excel. In the Beech, I used a Lightspeed 30-3G, which did a great job with that high-noise cabin. Haven't been in a turboprop since I bought the Bose QC2, so I haven't had a chance to try 'em out.

The UFlyMike will not work with the QuietComfort 3, only the QuietComfort 2. That's the setup I have, and it's fantastic! Haven't tried it in a Dash, though, so I don't know how well it would work in it.

Sorry for the wrong info, I don't have this set up.
I use the regular aviation bose headsets but u right!!! all the guys that use them here are very happy with it, and like I said before if I have to buy headsets again I'll go for this set up....is cheap, still bose and they are very comfortable.

I own both the QC2 and the Bose X and they are like night and day in terms of noise attenuation- the QC2 is not even close. However, they are both high quality and the UFM mike functions well. The QC2/UFM setup is certainly competitive with Telex 850s for example, and much superior to a 750. But lame sound reduction compared to the Bose X.
