I'm gonna have to give the standard flightinfo response to all company bashing threads. Did you go to your interview and not get called back? Maybe you blew the sim check. Did you even get the interview?

Don't bother with the response. It doesn't matter in any case. It will either be a lie about not wanting to work there, a barb about flying at night, a comment about reduced life expectancy, or some similar unoriginal thought. If not that, you'll truthfully deny wanting to work here, yet still fail to disclose whatever other strange ulterior motive sent you to your keyboard to begin this rant.

Yeah I have no interest in flying nights especially now that it is a known carcinogen. Thats how they afford the pension they give you because when you turn 66 you'll croak.

And yes over blank (?) percentage of flying is day time but thats after you have been up ALL NIGHT LONG. Have fun bringing my Pakages to my house while I'm fast ASLEEP. YEHAAAAAAAA...and who wants to live in MEM.

Incidentally, they afford the pension by paying the appropriate amount into the pension fund, rather than underfunding it and pilfering it. Ironic, given your feelings on their corporate ethical issues.

I'm glad this issue doesn't bother you enough to keep you from sending your packages FedEx.

BTW, your profile is gutless. I presume you fly for a living. At which bastion of superior business practices and moral indomitability do you ply your trade? I'm sure it would stand up to any scrutiny that one might apply.

I'm sure that's coming in the form of a class-action lawsuit, but I don't expect to see more than a $20 coupon off FedEx shipping.

I'm happy to finally see the FedEx Ground "independent contractor" going the way of the dodo, but I'm sorry to say that this is another situation that should have been resolved long ago by FedEx Corp, instead of letting it's Ground division have the kind of autonomy tat is eventually going to end up costing the company amounts of money that very well could run into the billions of dollars.

It is, my opinion, however, that FedEx Ground is stealing from it's "independent contractors."
