Well, if it makes you feel better, the "verified" section has been shut down as well. Looks like the hub is out of business.

What a shame. It was a great site that gave a lot of hope to Mesa guys.

the mesahub is back up
w/ a new look.

I like the skull and crossbones.

I think it's the threat of lawsuits from JO. Very unfortunate.

Ummm, after being butt reamed by the judge in the Aloha case, I don't think JO has the money or credibility to be filing frivolous lawsuits anymore.

He definitely doesn't have the credibility but he continues to indulge in frivolous lawsuits. Just a couple of weeks ago he sued "Planebuzz".

The "new" Mesahub.com seems to be sponsored not by current and former Mesa pilots, but by the Aloha and Hawaiian pilots who have been running a couple of anti-Mesa, anti-Ornstein sites.

It's funny, because it's pretty clear that few if any of the current posters are carrying on any of the numerous and varied topics carried on the the "Verified" section of the old Mesahub. The true spirit and soul of the old Mesahub was reflected almost totally in the "verified" section; the non-verified was a sideshow that was rapidly turning into a soapbox for Aloha/Hawaiian pilots who hated Mesa.

So . . . the new "Mesahub" is going to be a ghost town. There are plenty of anti-Mesa sites out there; flight info is one, iflygo, etc.

A tip of the hat to the sponsors of the new "Mesahub", then, for attempting to carry the torch. Too bad you never really were part of the beloved old hub community to begin with.

(fortunately, there is another site that Mesa pilots have flocked to and is chock full of all things Mesa, both good and bad)

Are you sure about that? If true, it begs the question...

If the "new" owners are HA & AQ pilots, then how did they score the URL www.mesahub.com away from the "old" owners? The "old" owners either A. gave it away willingly or B. They have effectively created intentional confusion over who they are.

Personally I think option B is precisely what they needed to do in order to get JO's crackhead lawyers off their trail.

I cant believe that bogberto would intentionally give away the entire kit and caboodle to unknown rougue HA & AQ pilots whose only intention is to bash JO. HAL got their $90Mil, AQ pilots just got a new contract and expansion is on the way at both airlines. JO has been humiliated and is now renown as the worst CEO in America and Murnane is the idiot of the year.

Why would anybody at HA & AQ need to run a Mesa pilot forum?

JO's reign of bull$hit is over. JO will soon be nothing but a memory.

The mesahub admin just released their stats for the first week. 87,500 hits.

Wow!

All the regulars are starting to trickle back in as the word gets out. They even have their own blog and live chat now too.

Not bad for a ghost town!

No, I'm not sure at all, it's merely my general impression.

Nor do I really know why HA/AQ pilots would be interested in running such a site, other than the fact that MU was a former Mesa pilot with a HUGE chip on his shoulder (not unjustifiably, either). Posts from AQ/HA pilots on the previous "hub" were almost exclusively of the "why JO is an idiot and why I hate him" variety. Last time I checked, this was pretty much the only kind of post on "Mesahub V 3.0".

If traffic on the site is up, then good for the sponsors. Nothing would be more depressing than having a forum and not having anyone show up.

And as for your JO sentiments . . .there isn't a Mesa pilot anywhere, current or former, who doesn't agree 100%.

Realistically, I think it's still wishful thinking, but man . . .what a great Christmas present that would be to the world.

Good for them. How unfortunate that most of these are probably of the "unverified" (from the old site) variety.

It's just a matter of personal preference. I really liked the "verified" section of the old hub, and rarely, if ever, looked at the "non-verified" side because it was pretty much all the same Aloha and Hawaiian guys bashing Mesa.

OK, please answer me this one question.

Do you think bogberto WILLINGLY gave up the forum to as you describe it, "MU and the AQ & HA pilot mesa bashers" or did they get the domain from him some other way?

I dont think bog would give it away. The forum was his baby. I think the confusion created is deliberate and there has been little or no change in ownership although...

It does appear somebody has taken a few lessons in SEO technique. From my vantage point it is safe to say they definitely have a new webmaster.

A compliment?

Whatever its intention, this is a vast improvement from the other things I have been called on this forum by Mesa pilots. Dork, Tool, loser, etc. etc.

Actually, very recently I have been told over and over again (from ramp workers all the way up to CEO's, Holly Hegeman, others) that my actions against JO have encouraged them to also stand up to Ornstein.

The logic is simple... "If MU, (a dork, tool, loser etc) can stand up to JO and win, then JO must just not be that smart".

While I do delight in being one of the first to publicly humiliate the little liar, I don't think anybody else would have done anything different. (knowing what I knew)

Now back to the subject at hand, the mesahub.

Once again, I must disagree with you soverytired.

Many current Aloha pilots had verified accounts (we hired 4 LAMA's in the past year) so figure it out. I know what was being said in the verified section and it was no as cheery as you wax here.

The verified section was just as negative if not more so. Some of the most popular threads were on attrition numbers and the LAMA's outnumbered Mesa pilots by 4 to 1 or more.

I actually (mostly) agree with Obi-Wan's post above. JO's reign of lies is over.

JO couldn't scare the owners of Aloha, Hawaiian, planebuzz, or dontflygo.com. He will no longer be able to scare other airlines, journalists, or the mesahub's proprietors either.

To quote one of my old favorite television series;

The truth is out there.

JO is the laughing stock of the airlines. JO must hate his life & I can't be blamed for that.

Anyway, Merry Christmas flightinfo fans.
