Bye Bye--General Lee

P.S.-There is simply no excuse for General Lee-I would not expect a lot of street cred. for stepping up for that loser!

You just used the phrase "street cred"? YGBSM.
Do you bring your PSP on layovers so you can play Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift in your hotel room? Have a Danny Bonaduce is cool T shirt? Prolly love "50 cent" and follow Paris and "K Fed" in the news too huh?
Man....you shot yourself with the 18 yr old "hood" talk.

Your "cred' is 0

I remember the day when the Gen posts were humble as hell...but after being beaten to hell by everyone that can't stand to let someone else enjoy or prosper in their career...he's grown a little jaded...and yes I believe he is hard on SWA....but Im not in the fight.

Too bad 75% of the people on here find a happy pilot or a prospering airline to be fair game for a verbal raping...and we wonder why this industry sucks.

Our BK was not fun for us at all, but a lot of people did enjoy it, and a lot were on this board. Regardless, we got through it, and I do enjoy the banter on this board, and I can take the insults. My problem is I usually respond to these nuckleheads, and that only adds to my post total. As far as the Southwest guys, I am just giving them S#&^. I honestly would not want to do what they do (the multiple legs in one type of plane), but the other stuff they have (great pay, nice stews, good management) I have acknowledged. But as soon as I stated I personally wouldn't want to do what they do, they flipped out and said I was crazy. So, now I razz them a bit, especially about Lubbock etc. Most of them laugh it off, but some do not.

Bye Bye--General Lee

Gen Lee has been a standard since I started reading this thread. His humor is right on. Those easily offended, I have seen MUCH worse.

Hee, Hee...

I LOVE IT!

I managed to piss off multiple toolbags with one post!

You guys SLAY ME! Your wit is so sharp, your jabs, so swift, your humor so.......well, so ....... O.K. I give up-can't fake it anymore..... Just not challenging, not much fun.......

Please, God, please, just send me just one SMART guy to trade insults with........

I know, I know, I'm really asking for a lot, but honestly...... ***** Lee must have at least one bud with an IQ a bit higher than his shoe size..... Come on Gen, phone a friend, take a survey, 50/50......There has to be SOMEONE who is willing to defend you who has more sense than a 3rd grader......

-Sometimes life isn't fair. I just wish I could find someone smart to play with.....There is just so little challenge to screwing with ***** Lee and friends.

P.S.-Yeah, ***** Lee-I did enjoy my trip to VLD-had to pay a little visit *******

MOD WARNING: LANGUAGE; MOM COMMENTS; OVERALL DEMEANOR.....AIGHT HOMES!

You're obviously too intelligent and sharp-witted for the rest of us. ****** Lee? I just visited ******** Where do you come up with this comedic gold? I guess you've had some free time with the strike and all, no more writing for Conan O'brien, right?

You ask for someone intelligent to trade insults with, then hit us with third-rate junior high school humor? That's pathetic. Really just sad.

Too Much?

If you read my post, you would see that I was going after the General and his little minions. The guy is simply the most pathetic example of delusional, rationalizing, Kool Aid chugging, pollyanna I have ever come across.

I fully believe the General has some sort of tragic disorder, and would benefit from some sort of medical intervention. I am trying to acquaint the General with the reality that he is incorrect-the boy needs to step down a rung or two.

Quite honestly, I enjoy screwing with people who take themselves too seriously. I get a kick out of messing with people like this-and I truly could not care less whether or not you appreciate my little diversion......

I enjoy jacking people like this in the nuts-it is my hobby, so to speak..... I know, I know, not exactly mainstream, but then again-I am a total Bastard!!! Maybe it is not fun for you, but frankly, I don't give a rat's narrow butt.

-Different Strokes, Chief......

Here are some numbers predicted by an analyst:

AP
Ahead of the Bell: Airline Targets Cut
Thursday December 20, 8:28 am ET

Credit Suisse Analyst Cuts Targets on All Major U.S. Airlines, Citing Oil, Potential Recession

NEW YORK (AP) -- A Credit Suisse analyst cut price targets on every major U.S. airline Thursday, citing the high cost of oil as the price flirts with $100 a barrel, as well as a potential recession.
With even a small change in the price of oil wildly affecting forecasts, a target change was necessary, analyst Daniel McKenzie said.

He also cut earnings estimates for airlines, again citing oil, and noting that a Credit Suisse economist predicts a 42 percent chance of a recession.
Weak performance in the sector points to a 60 percent chance of some consolidation, he said, noting that it may be a saving grace.
"Ultimately, consolidation as an endgame for the industry must result in lower costs, lower fares, better service, a rationalization of high cost capacity and hence, a more efficient and profitable industry," McKenzie said in a client note.

The price target updates for each airline:

AirTran Holdings Inc. was cut to $8 from $13.

AMR Corp., which runs American Airlines, was cut to $20 from $34.

Continental Airlines Inc. was cut to $37 from $47.

Delta Air Lines Inc.'s price target was set at $16 after McKenzie initiated coverage.

JetBlue Airways Corp. was cut to $9 from $12.

Northwest Airlines Corp. was set at $14 after McKenzie initiated coverage.

Southwest Airlines Co. was cut to $17 from $21.

UAL Corp., which runs United Airlines, was cut to $46 from $61.

US Airways Group Inc. was cut to $24 from $45.

I understand why domestic-only flying is taking a beating but why are DAL, AMR, and others with huge Intl Routes taking a beating? I thought the Intl yields provided protection against higher oil.

The INTL side can help with the overall picture, but still might not offer enough help to stop a small loss. Not having an INTL side will put you at a disadvantage unless you have a lot of hedging. Here is part of Delta's press release dated Dec 5th mainly talking about November's numbers:

"International traffic remained strong in November 2007, increasing 19.0 percent year over year on a 17.6 percent increase in capacity. As a result, international load factor was 76.8 percent, up 0.9 points compared to November 2006. Domestic traffic in November 2007 was flat year over year and capacity increased 1.0 percent. Domestic load factor in November 2007 was 77.2 percent, down 0.9 points from the same period a year ago.

A record number of passengers flew internationally on Delta during the month of November. The number of international, Atlantic, and Latin passengers increased 13.7 percent, 15.3 percent, and 11.2 percent, respectively, versus the same period last year. ``November consolidated unit revenues increased modestly year over year, with strong improvements in international unit revenues,'' said Glen Hauenstein, Delta's executive vice president of network and revenue management. ``In light of fuel prices and some softening from recent robust domestic demand, we are continuing to focus on profitable international growth while moving aggressively to rationalize 2008 domestic capacity.''
