I was in LGB on the 14th in the morning. I (XJT) had just started pushing back about 2 min before you.

When you contacted ground for pushback, you said that you would push accordingly so that you would not "BLOW ExpressJet".

I (like a smartazz) just said over the radio, "Just tell Alligiant to go ahead and blow us."

I am sorry. It was no the mark of a classy aviator. If I could take it back i would. I meant it in humor, but I dont think that it came out that way.

In the right time, and situation, it would have been funny.

I promise that the next Alligiant guy I see in a bar on an overnight, I'll buy the beers.

I think it's funny!

I hope you mean yesterday the 15th.

If it was the 15th, you made the day for me. The Captain on that flight has a HUGE problem with radio usage.

It wouldnt have been banana man, he flew in the afternoon, the time in question was in the morning. Besides.....banana man is just a big kitty cat.

I didn't see LGB on the 14th. It could have been on the 15th though.

Yes banana man is a big kitty cat.

I just love the idea that someone else might have set him off with radio usage. I havn't had any trouble, but I have heard some good stories about it. Could you imagine your first day of IOE. Three hour leg, with the talk! God day, checkn' in, How's the ride, shoes, tuna fish, etc.
Price less, for every thing else-quit!

Stand behind those words bubba.........it was hilarious. This industry is in such a shambles that EVERY chance you get to put a smile on someones face or make us laugh......go for it - that is all we have left :)

nice

Gotta have fun in this world, like in EWR a few months back on the other side of the XJT world.

EWR Ground: Follow the Heavy Virgin

Pilot: Is that why she's a Virgin?

...

Yea actually it was the 15th. I am glad that all is well. I was laughing really hard and I don't think that me or my FO was able to actually breathe right until after we were talking to departure cuz we were laughing so hard.

I am glad that it did not insult anyone. I thought it was really funny until i thought that I could have really offended someone.

I'd do it again though.

Cheers

the next female controller who gives you a vector you should say:

HEY Sqwkvfr

YOU can actually blow me though!!!

It's not that tough to get it right.

I always break it up into two parts because I seem to have trouble placing "Is" and "Es," especially reltive to each other.

Try this: "Alle" and then "giant"...and then cram them together.

Anyway, regardless of your spelling, you've seem to do a fine jog of not getting caught recycling a played-out old internet joke and claiming as your own.

Congratulations.
