Yes,

We asked for pay and benfits...

We got hair on our face.

I had one for about 2 months then realized that even if my company wants to destoy the professionalism of avaitors, I should not contribute.

Oh and I'm not CA or FO (last name), I'm CA or FO Jim and Steve... Like a tour bus driver while on vacation.

Also, we are considering the "Puffy Shirt" to go with the goat tee because our focus groups have shown that the "swashbuckler" look is big right now.

Never could figure out why a guy would want his mouth to look like a part of a womans anatomy some where down there between her legs.

If that was the case, I wouldn't be able to stop licking my lips ;)

I heard that the alternative lifestyles men likes them, since it tickles the bag during...uhmm something!

I saw one with a goat-tee AND A BACKPACK!!!!!!

these guys are destroying the profession faster than gojets.

:D

So what?? I saw a Delta guy with a backpack the other day in ATL. I know, shocker. It doesn't mean that he represents the whole pilot group. We have them, they have them, everybody has them. As a commuter, I see a lot of things. NO company is the perfect one. Are goatees allowed? Yep. Are they professional? Not IMO, but neither is a lot of the BS I see as a commuter. At least I can have any sticker I want on my flightbag.
Rant over, back to normal programming of ole JB bashing...

Goatee: Cool
Tatoos on forearms: Excellent
Look on Delta Captain's face when I asked for the jumpseat: PRICELESS!

ummm it was a joke people - see the little smile face thingy

I think Goatees are pretty cool. It is ok to be an individual.

In a professional community? Yeah... ok... :erm:

Where does one draw the line? And who decides where to draw the line?

With their FA Blue Shirts, I can never tell whos who? I just call them all Flight Attendants.

Now go get me something to drink!

Lawyers, doctors, etc..... seen them all have goatees. Even seen a judge have one.

Image is all it is and a goatee is mainstream with society.

I wouldn't get one but that doesn't mean others shuldn't.

>>>>>I think Goatees are pretty cool. It is ok to be an individual.<<<<

It's funny when people think they're an 'individual when doing stuff like this because there are so many of them doing it, it's lost it's individuality.

It's like girls getting butterfly tattoes on their lower back or all the football players tattoing barbed wire around their arms or all the yuppies getting Harleys. Just following a trend or fad and wanting to be part of the mainstream pack actually ......not being "individuals". Being an individual would be NOT doing the latest fad.

it will be cool to see your over 60 pilot looking like dennis hopper or vincent price.

yo! this is the captain and this is my man mca he's gotta beard like a billy goat!

goatee= a.k.a. prison pu..(feline)...ssy

Are we doctors? Lawyers? I've never been to court... you?

A goatee is a fad. Long hair and ponytails were too in the 1700's. Ship Captains wore ponytails and errings..

Don't confuse falvor of the month with the right to be an individual within the confines of a choosen profession.

I wouldn't get one but that doesn't mean others shuldn't.

cause it would hurt thier self esteem if they conformed to the image of a profession? Not the Doctor profession. Not the Lawyer profession. Not the Judge profession.

What we are talking about here is the Air Line Pilot Profession.

Why is a backpack unprofessional?

Cause it looks like you are going to school. If you are going to school then you are a student and not a certified professional of your craft. This of course is all in the eyes of the traveling public. We all know you are a professional when you wear your backpack... but it is about the perception....image is everything... even though it seems to be a chore these days...

Besides... I don't wear my luggage... I pull or carry it.
