gotta have somewhere to put the 50's that will have to move out of ATL to make room for the 900's coming very, VERY soon. Tell me you knew this was coing....you did right?

DFW, Duuuuuh!

Umm...I think they are just referring to the stat's of all the other cities other than ATL & CVG. Nothing to see here moving on.

Who cares anyway?
Y'all know for how long ASA's new hubs usually stay opened...
Plus, I don't know where XXX is, but I don't want to move there! :)
I like the dirty south!

Many of your 50s will probably be parked. Delta got rid of 50 in BK, and plans to do the same soon with more, from Comair obviously. There will not be a one for one trade with CR9s. Nope. This all from a Delta upper management guy. Yes, there will be some CR9s for Pinnacle, ASA, and Freedom, but more 50s will leave than 900s entering the fleets.

for once you're right. It won't be a 1 for 1 trade with 50/900. The growth for ASA will be the new 100 seat planes (no details on what it will be as of yet) along with the 900's.

Can't find enough pilots and the airports/sky are too crowded already (if you choose to believe the feds). So, the alternative is to move the same number of pax (or more) with the same number of crews already available (or fewer)....answer....planes with more seats.

Mainline will fly anything with more than 100 seats and "connection" will fly anything with fewer than 100 seats.....of course northing official has been announced, but remember you heard it here first.

That will be one hell of a trick since DAL scope prohibits you from flying anything with more than 76 seats.

PCL,

It will be an easy trick. DL pilots cave on scope everytime its presented to them. Anderson will sell it no problem.

Ohplease I'm with you.

Xxx

My guess is the San Fernando Valley, ala Burbank. The porn capital of the world. Think about it. Uncle Rico and his mustache, and now this. It's all adding up.

DAL was in bankruptcy when they gave up scope the last time, and even then they only gave up 6 seats for a handful of airplanes. Anderson doesn't have the bankruptcy hammer over their heads now, so I doubt you'll see any more scope concessions for quite some time. Besides, I don't think Anderson wants to outsource 100-seat aircraft. The bigger the RJ gets, the less they're saving by outsourcing them.

first it was 50's; then the number of 50's; then it was 70's; then the number of 70's; then 76 seats; then the number of 76 seats....

Delta was only in BK once during those times. The mgmt at Delta will ALWAYS find something to hold over their pilots to trade off scope. The Delta pilots have NEVER cared about ANYONE but themselves (and only then as individuals, not as a group). Any time those guy's have been presented with the chance to trade off something to keep their job/pay/etc., they've punked out.

Even the venerable (even if he does say so himself) General Lee.

The one thing mainline pilots have going for them now is the number of ASA pilots that have been hired lately. At least we know the ASA guy's won't punk out when faced with a challenge.

How do you figure this part???

oh yeah. Now I remember....the mainline pilots agreed to UNDERCUT the regionals on the 90 seat rate and FLY THE DAMN THINGS FOR LESS THAN A REGIONAL PILOT.

Seems like a good time to say again something about the mainline pilots thinking only about themselves and punking out, but saying it again would just be "piling on" and in bad form. So I won't say they thought about only themselves and punked out again again...;)

This is a flawed argument, especially when you consider a 100 seat airplane would be the top paying aircraft at a regional and the lowest paying aircraft at a major/legacy.

XXX- usually means routing through LGA i.e CAE-LGA. The ship isn't going through ATL or CVG.

Eitherway I wouldn't mind us opening up a new base, MCO? DFW? DHN? maybe not DHN.

Well, unless we go back to court with a judge watching over us again, I highly doubt that. You have to remember that the 76 seat addition (from 70) was done under "you will liquidate otherwise"---and I don't see that happening again unless Mars Attacks! You can wish all you want for larger planes (like the RJDC thing---hey, how did that play out anyway? Any huge rulings in favor of the RJDC?), but it won't happen. If it makes you sleep better at night, then go right ahead and think that way. Remember, you will also merge date of hire with SkyWest too. Yeah, that's the ticket. You heard it here too first---many 50 seaters will be parked soon(good rumor). I tend to think my announcement rumor has a better chance than your's of actually happening. Heck, I bet it does.

Also, why are you still at ASA?

We were in BK. How did Comair do in BK too? Their rates went way down also under the gaze of a BK judge. But let me guess, had you gone through the same thing it WOULDN'T have ended up the same, with you anyway......riiight. Hey, how did your date of hire merge go with SkyWest? Why again are you still at ASA? We have a lot of newhires from ASA and they decided to step up and go for it. Are you shooting blanks?

General Weewee,

I'm not going to speak for Ohplease as he is quite capable of speaking for himself..... However he is going to UPS which is a far smarter move than going to Delta.....Maybe he can walk in your resume......

General, aren't you the one who states every time scope concessions come up that it absolutely, positively, without a doubt will not pass. Or you'll strike. Then roll the GO.

Then when the concessions pass, you come up with 1000 excuses for why the situation changed, or you got something good, or a gun was to your head, blah, blah, blah.

Sorry, Gen, but you have NO credibility on predicting the scope issue.

Oh, and BTW, thanks for that "monumental" prediction that -200s for -900s won't be one-for-one. No crap! Did anyone really believe that it would be? All I've ever heard is a 2-for-1 trade.

Now I'm sure you're salivating at the thought of a loss of airframes and furloughs at Connection, but we as ASA now have a no-furlough clause, that unlike yours, doesn't include "forced manure". So if you're hoping to see us lose our jobs, again, and as usual, you can sit and spin.

I think the General is drinking so much Kool Aid he might be in danger of drowning! What a TOTAL IDIOT! If DAL told this fool to go and hold up a liquor store, he would would say "ski mask? Hell, I'll just wear my penguin suit-no one would dare question my authority to rob any store I choose! I work for DAL-By God!"

"Do it Once and Do it Right?" Ring a bell-moron? How about "Bankruptcy-proof pensions" for the execs? What type of honorable company would ever do these things? Let me see.....Delta? Why the insane level of loyalty? General, did they make you the Grand Marshall at the last Gay Pride parade they sponsored?

You are once seriously obsessed monkey-General, go and get a hobby, take a walk, get a dog, do something other than give DAL virtual BJs all day long on FlightInfo.

-Truth is-NO ONE here cares what you think anymore! You have lost whatever cedibility you had by being the biggest excuse-making, rationalizing, pollyanna ever to hit the internet!
