Thanks to:

Everyone on the OC

All of the ALPA pilots who have spent a lot of their time helping out

Every SkyWest Pilot who made an informed choice, regardless of how you voted.

Oh and to all of the people who don't start bashing my pilot group.

Did you guys that voted no know there is a clause in ASA's TA for transfer of ASA pilots to your seniority list at date of hire for every 5 planes that are transferred to SKYW. The irony is that our TA also has a reverse clause to cover SKYW pilots to come to ASA at date of hire if for some reaon Jerry decides to transfer planes from SKYW to ASA.

Well, that's a wrap. Bummer. Especially since I plan to stay here at SKW for the duration of my career. We'll see...

That's asking a bit much. How about you settle for us not bashing a third of your pilot group? :D
Bash the ones who didn't vote. Not the ones who didn't call, the ones who were apathetic and just didn't take the time to consider the issue.

Those are the ones that are the problem, not the ones who actually made the informed decision not to call. I support any "no" votes that were made because they properly considered things.

Good news is, things are pretty good here. I hope they stay that way, I really do. It would have been nice to have a had a little protection, though.

I guess the SKYW pilots are all about the SKWY pilots....

No worry... ALPA will continue to make your jobs better regardless of your definace.... We will be working for our careers and your jobs...

News flash Rez.... that statement applies to most airline pilots.... union and non-union.... Whether it is scope, mergers, age 60, or contract issues..... ALPA pilots will throw ALPA pilots under the bus just as quick as anyone, and the majority of us understand that.....

What a load of Horsesqueeze..... ALPA will continue to ignore the whipsaw issue and will continue ignore the problems that have caused it to lose leverage.....

Although I think Joe needs to put the crack pipe down a little bit, I gotta agree with this statement.

It's not a crack pipe..... it's reality..... Management is kicking our A$$ and ALPA is ignoring the root cause..... Meanwhile the ALPA cheerleaders put on their Herndon pom poms and try to convince people that they are the solution..... Actions speak louder than slogans...... and the actions aren't there......

I agree ALPA is not perfect but it's better than the a$$ reaming they got over at Skywest with their "raise". At least with the union, you have a snowball's chance in hell to improve the working conditions. Without one, you are at the mercy of Skywest management and f***ing SAPA (joke). They proved how much they care about the pilots with their slap in the face pay proposal....that's what did it for me.

Skywest is probably the best regional to work for..... and many ALPA carriers are FAR WORSE..... The evidence simply isn't there to convince people that Mesa and PCL have it better than Skywest..... ALPA is going to have to do better......

Who's talking about Mesa and PCL??? Instead of using the bottom of the barrel why not compare Horizon and Continental Express?????

True. Very true. Although if you had the same weenies representing the union as SAPA, they Skywest pilots would be in trouble regardless.
