Hey guys can anyone give me what mesaba's training like? How many weeks of systems, do you do the Oral before the SIM or at the same day as your checkride? How many hours of IOE do you do? This is for the SAAB.

IOE is about 20 hours I believe

How quick you get through training depends on your individual schedule after systems. It took two months for me to get from day one to the end of training (not including IOE). If you need extra sims, that could get even longer. However, some guys in my class finished a few weeks earlier.

I ummmm....forgot to ask that question . The street captain thing is new for them apparently. I really dont know what the plan is. I sure hope to see some captain pay for the begining.

Just out of curiosity, didn't your contract at one point read that if a junior pilot was awarded Captain and a more senior pilot could hold it, that those senior pilots would receive Captain pay? If they are hiring street captains that are tacked onto the bottom of the list, wouldn't all FO's then get Captain pay, as strictly based on seniority (not hours), there are FO's senior to those captains?

I must be missing something (or forgetting all the verbage that was in the contract) as I can't ever see that scenario happening.
