Piedmont Airlines and the Piedmont Alpa neg. committee came to an agreement today on Q400/ Large turbo prop rates. The neg. committe will foward the rates to the MEC for a vote, and if approved, a vote by the pilot group.
That is all.
sooooo..what you are saying is that piedmont is getting Q's ???
Quinn,
Send me a PM with your email address...I'm working on getting a master list going for friends and family. Also include anyone else that may be interested. Good to hear positive news about ole PDT finally.
I wonder if my final paycheck will arrive on time and uneventfully? I tried calling SBY this week trying to get a hold of the CP's office. You would have thought the company was celebrating Ramadan or something. Everyone was out of the office (no answer for a day or two)...I remember some clause saying they would hold the final paycheck until your manuals and ID were accounted for. A gut feeling tells me that will get f'ed up somehow!
Of course-- the only reason we don't have Q"s is the company did not have rates, right? At least that is the company line.
yo Fool! How is camel land? Watch out for all the Sand Rats over there!

Going very well...I'm currently lost in traslation so to speak. (in Paris all week for recurrent training). We've managed to get royally lost on the 'roundabouts' while wondering around the Paris area! Luckily we did the GPS option on the rental car!
Its back to reality on Saturday
SO THAT'S WHO THAT IS!
Congrats, FirstMate. You and JohnnyP are well on yer way to fame and infamy.
I truly envy the two of you. I'll PM you my email address for updates.
Sig, we can always pass your resume around you know.
No one's ever too old to take the jump.

Horizon also loves the Q's breakdown/cycle ratio too... Hopefully they will have found all the major problems for Bombardier before we ever get them. Do the 72-500's have the goofy rear entry Pax loading???
Yeah, I was talking to a pilot that commutes into Missoula. He said a Q400 broke down and then they flew in another which promptly broke down.

No, this is just to perpetuate the rumor that we are getting Q's so we might be able to attract a couple more 250 hour pilots. Mgm't is having a hard time even getting these guys to show up for ground school.

No, not true! Getting new TurboProps isn't gonna get anyone to come to this airline! So by them saying we are getting new Q's doesn't me crap to anyone that wants to come here. Why? Cause its still a TurboProp. You want people to come here, then you need to get new planes (Q's or ATR's) with good payrates and a better QOL..... Plus the flowthru wouldn't hurt at all! Thats the only way US Airways is gonna get people at PDT or PSA for that matter.
So by Neg. Large Turboprop rates, isn't a ploy to get people to come or stay around! I really believe that US Airways wants these things all up and down the east coast! We shall see......
But as of now nothing has been done.
Well!!! just watched the monthly conference video of Doug Parker (Useless Air C.O) he attends every month and one guy asked him about the flow-thru and apparently he didn’t sound too positive about it. All 4 MEC’s (East, West, PSA and Pdmnt) have to agree upon. But on the last alpa meeting on Sept 6 which I believe he said that the East side MEC didn’t show up…… no clear agreement was reached. Then he said if all 4 MEC’s come up with some type of negotiation to get concessions and everything could be manage on a way that works for the company in terms of having enough pilots for the Express side then company will be happy to negotiate a flow-thru. But as of now nothing has been done.
So, what do the pay rates look like? Are they closer to Colgan or Horizon??
and about 5 dollars more to FO rates.
You don't work here? And what you have typed lets me know you are totally clueless on whats going on!
Concessions?????? What the hell are you talking about Junior!! Now go back outside and Play in the sandbox!!
