At best a proffer ... At worst parked

Back in late 03' we got our release at Mesaba, but only because an outgoing member of the NMB voted in favor. Otherwise we would still be waiting, too.
We need a new, more labor friendly administration!
Bush and crew are not our friends...
Good Luck.

ASA did not get released during the last negotiations years ago under the Clinton administration, so it has nothing to do with Bush.

I believe this is how the conversation with Bush and the NMB would go:

NMB: "We have a regional airline that's been in contract negotiations for 5 years and they are at a stalemate; what do you want to do?"

Pres: "What is a regional airline?"

NMB: "Regional airlines fly the small RJs to connect small cities with large hubs."

Pres: "What is an RJ and do I really care about this?"

NMB: "RJ is short for regional jet. ASA is a connection carrier for Delta."

Pres: "Who the hell is ASA and what is a connection carrier?"

NMB: "ASA is Atlantic Southeast Airlines and they fly the smaller planes for Delta."

Pres: "Small planes? Why are you bothering me with this? Just do whatever you want to do; they obviously will not have an impact on the big airlines."

NMB: "Okay, I'll release them and then I don't have to screw with them anymore! Sweet!"

Pres: "Did you say something?"

NMB: "Nope..........."

I want to believe.

You have a better chance of getting laid at the same time with Keira Knightley AND Lindsay Lohan, than you do of getting released at ASA.
Actually.....I was in rehab last weekend, and wouldn't you know it Keira Knightley just happened to be visiting Lindsay for the night. Well, I was on bathroom duty again, and Lindsay decided she had enough scrubbing toilets, and somehow convinced Keira to join us as we ................Oh dammit, who woke me up????????????

Keep dreaming, buddy. Bush hates you, me, and every other member of organized labor in this country. In his mind, we are just obstacles to progress for the corporations.
