Looking for some advice on my current situation. Currently, I am an instructor with 1000 hours total time. The problem is I only have 20 hours multi. I have an opportunity to leave my instructing job and fly right seat in a conquest for a 135 operator. I would be able to log the 91 legs by logging it as dual received. The captain is an instructor and he would be able to sign me off as dual received. Would this time be exepted as meeting the 100 hour multi requirement at the regionals. My ultimate goal is to go to a quality regional (if there is such a thing). Any advice appreciated.

The FARs state you must be RECEIVING INSTRUCTION in order to log as dual received. A regional may look funny at someone who received 90+ hours of instruction in a twin.

Tell the new employer that as a condition of employment you want to be able to log the 91 legs as PIC. The Captain will probably object, but draw the line on this and make it a requirement of them hiring you.

Conquest I or II?

I know the Conquest I only requires a complex and high performance endorsement. There is no type. Under 91, you can log it as PIC if you have the endorsements/category and class.

Someone chime in with more. It have been 7 years since I flew a 425. My info may not be entirely correct.

The Russian is correct. You can log the 91 legs as PIC as long as the aircraft does not require a type rating and you are properly rated for the aircraft.

It is a conquestI so I don't think a type rating is required. From my understanding I would be able to log PIC Dual received on the 91 legs. Has anyone every been hired by a regional with 100hrs of dual received PIC multi? I might just continue working at the flight school, because I will start flying the Duchess in two months. However, having 1,000 hours and just getting into the Duchess is somewhat ridiculous with the current hiring going on. Especially at $13 an hour!

The quickest way to a good regional could be through a crappy regional. Seriously, 121 time looks really good to other airlines. Gulfstream is hiring off the street FOs with your qualifications, Great Lakes might take you. Shoot, TSA and PSA would probably take you. Like 99 said, have you applied?

If you have the high-altitude endorsement you could legally log PIC on the 91 legs.
