"The pilots were not blamed for the damage. Mr Apinan said the accident occurred because the jet is so large, needing more space on the taxiway."

Wow, ya think?!?!

I guess Airbus is gonna use the airplane (literally) to figure out the infrastructure issues.

I LOVE IT.

Ya know what is really strange? That must be the first time that the crew hasn't been blamed for an airbus getting dinged.

I guess they are going to have to get some of those videocameras and closure rate detectors from Mercedes to keep the wingtips from hitting stuff. They could wire them into the autobrake system!

What a POS!

Hehehehehe

Glad they didn't blame the pilots since it was beeing towed...

not that I like to see anyone take unnecessary blame, but how can you not blame the pilots/tow crew for hitting the building? The building certainly did not jump out in front of them. I fail to see the "plane was too big so it wasn't their fault" logic. I suppose if they sunk a mainmount in the ramp that it wouldn't be their fault either cause the plane is too heavy.

That's like saying when a batter strikes out it wasn't his fault because it was a really good pitch and impossible to hit.

I think they didn't want to blame the pilots cause they were Airbus pilots flying that thing on this publicity tour.
