Delta Mins = 1200?? Who is getting hired?

Delta's website currently shows mins of 1200, no PIC required, no ATP required. This sounds more like regional mins a few years ago. Is anyone in class with someone or knows someone who has been hired with these mins??

Those mins are for the military types. The regional guys getting hired have at least 3500 or more.

The published mins are low compared to guys like UPS, FedEx, and SWA. But nobody in my class had low time. I was one of the lowest time guys, me and the other military guy. However, most of our time is jet PIC 1 hour at a time!!! Had an ATP as well. Good luck to you.

it is all comes down to your birth right, either your the son or daughter of someone important or just born into an affirmative action group the HR department desires.

My interview group averaged about 5500TT and all had 121 PIC except the military guys.

I have over 2000TT, 900PIC and an ATP. All mil time too. It helpd that I know 6 guys that work there and two of them helped me get the interview.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this person also the winner of the WMU scholarship and has been in the Delta pipeline since zero hours? If so then she's been "interviewing" with Delta for a few years.... I would say this is a special case and wouldn't expect to see too many chick RJ pilots getting hired before their Captain's.

I can tell you that what they are looking at changes literally day by day. I have gotten guys interviews with 600 PIC turbine. Things may have changed a little bit with the changing of the guard, but they are looking for more than just time.
That said, there are a lot more military pilots coming over to DAL. This will make it harder and harder for the civilian guys to get it.
