"EOS, the Transatlantic Gold standard." Not too shabby as they offer the last available flight from New York to London and from London to New York as well as offering the only daytime flights from New York to London, a feature which many business travellers prefer. A 9 AM NYC departure arrives in London in the evening without having to play the red-eye game. Also, a 5 PM London departure, allowing a full day of work, arrives in NYC in the evening.
The true lie flat seats are definitely much more comfortable than those offerd by CAL and DAL BF/BE. Wow...

With 55 seats on a 757, it is a different kind of operation and they already have "competition" in the form of a one (almost two) airplane 767 operator doing the same thing with a wide body.

Delta is coming into the market with its own premuim 757 service and new seats.

Not to mention EOS flies to Stansted and not Gatwick or Heathrow....

Kinda like SWA putting out a press release that they are #4 in the New York market flying out is ISP.....

If you look at their actual schedule, they really don't have more than two flights DAILY. On their busiest days Eastbound, they have 4 flights (I think it is THURS and SUN) from JFK to STN, and the same is true on the return back Westbound (I think it is Wed and SAT etc). They claim on some days they have 4 flights total, which is only true 2 days a week in each direction. In reality they have about 2 daily flights with a few more sprinkled throughout the week. And, they fly to out of the way Stanstead airport, along with Maxjet. Silverjet, who flies 767-200s out of EWR goes to London Luton airport. Zoom airlines of England (an offshoot of Zoom Canada) competes now with Delta on the LGW to JFK route.

Daytime eastbound transatlantic flights is something passengers prefer????????
I'm on mil leave and fly as a passenger IAD-LHR/FRA/MUC quite a bit; half a dozen times so far this year, so I can definitely speak from experience. Daytime eastbound crossings SUKK!!! I just flew IAD-LHR last week, arriving at 9PM. I didn't book the reservations, but I did give the guy crap who booked the flight.
On a nighttime eastbound, you can sleep almost the entire flight and wake up refreshed - as long as you fly in business class; it's a bit harder to sleep in steerage. I fly in business class; I am just about always able to upgrade without any difficulty. And the difference between biz class and steerage is signficant.

As for arriving at Stansted, take a look at a map.

How about connections out of Stansted? Yipee; I get to fly on easyjet or Ryanair! WTF? You fly across the Atlantic in biz class and now you're going to fly on a cattle car on your next flight? No thanks.

Misleading thread title...

So what does the article really say? That on September 9th, EOS will have 40 weekly flights between NY and London and that makes them #4 on the list for number of scheduled flights between the destinations. All the stuff about their premium service is just company released PR.

Well first off there are 48 seats and I have flown them and their rivals. EOS is a real class act and I will never fly anyone else given the chance. NO ONE, NO ONE comes close to them!
