If it is so important for you to post this on the board and your unable to go to a pivotal meeting about YOUR job why don't you take the time to sitdown with YOUR rep. and communicate your thoughts. Posting on this board does very little to further your feels for change when you should be having DIRECT dialog with your rep.

Because I'm not a 20 something. I'm a bit longer in the tooth with a family. My priorities in life are as follows and IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE:

1.God
2.Famly
3.Career
4.Etc.

I don't post on this board very much because I actually have a life. For those who question my relatively small number of posts and that my posts are only about the contract, THAT'S THE REASON. Because if negotiations continue with their current pattern.......this ASA career will be gone. Fortunately, I have pretty good options. Others don't. Either way it ticks me off a bit that so many of the 20 somethings and a few of the early 30 somethings that HAVE NO INTENTION OF STAYING AT ASA are willing to burn it down in flames over such a small amount of money that it won't change their life.......all over the ability to say "WE WON, WE SHOWED THEM WHO'S KING".

In addition, I DO speak to my reps and cnc members.....very regularly....I might add. While they don't know this gossip board screen name, they know me personally and professionally. Most would be able to tell you how many kids I have and vice versa.

I am quite involved but as pretty much everyone on here and out on the line knows......if you publicly dissent from mother ALPA's opinion.....you will immediately have your character bashed in with a baseball bat.

So what. Grow a set and stand up and be a man. If you worry about what other people think or say you have the problem.

As for ALPA, John Pennicamp knows who I am and he also knows that I have not, did not and will not do something that has or would hurt the pilot group. I could care less about ALPA people bashing me. When pilots come to me and ask my thoughts that tells me I must be doing something right.

That's true on all points, except his assertion that he doesn't care about ALPA people bashing him. When Bob Arnold made a snide comment behind his back about him sticking his nose where it doesn't belong, and he got upset and quit. So obviously he does care.

Wasn't it you who made such a stink about outing people on this board? A fair number of us out there know that story and know who you're talking about. Nice job sticking to that whole not outing people thing...

I don't care at all about what anyone thinks about any differences of opinions on pilot group matters. I will engage ANYONE in meaningful debate using whatever factual information is available. If we disagree, it will be on a professional level.

That's not how the hardcore ALPA Koolaid drinkers play. They, instead choose to go straight after a man's personal character slinging mud and raw sewage. Rather than discredit the issue, they choose to discredit the man, figuring if they are successful in discrediting the man, then the issue must not have merit either.

Instead, I am like the "silent majority", in that I'd prefer to come to work without being harrassed and go home and be happy with my family. However, times are such that it IS time to get active.

To noone's surprise, the sessions at the end of June will once again be fruitless if ALPA'S demands remain at the CHQ/Expressjet level

After the sessions, we will either be parked or two more sessions a couple month down the road will be scheduled. WE WILL NOT BE RELEASED!!!!

Within the next year, if we continue the present course, ASA will get it's first baseball bat to the groin; Probably in two different announcements or actions. "Skywest Airlines awarded xx CR7 aircraft...." with a more silent or completely under the radar, "asa to retire xx CR2 aircraft".

Anyway....differences aside.....isn't www.'s opinion on negotiations somewhere in the middle too? or is he an ALPAite hardliner?

As GeekMaster said, I'm willing and ready to debate anybody on the issues. If all they can do is assasinate the character of anyone who disagrees with them, then they get what they deserve.
