Does anyone know when AirTran has to disclose how many shares tendered? Is the deadline midnight tonight or was it last night? Just curiously waiting to see if what % go to AirTran's side.

people have to decide by midnight tonight. we will know tomorrow.

this is all provided AAI does not extend the offer. my guess is that decision will be made when they have a better idea on how the day is going.

Somethings going on in Orlando... Talk about a game of poker face.... However, guys laughed at me several months ago when I talked about AAI going after the few routes Midex has that makes them money.. Well guess what, its hapenning.. And AAI is making money while doing it..

Heres a piece from an article from TheStreet.com

Yet Milwaukee is exactly the type of place airlines covet, a medium-sized market that lacks a dominant major airline and that is within driving distance of a major metropolitan area, Chicago. And now, the industry is expanding again. It is easy to imagine expansion by Northwest or an entree by JetBlue (JBLU - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr - Rating) or Southwest (LUV - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr - Rating), not to mention more expansion by AirTran. All three have lower unit costs than Midwest. AirTran currently serves Atlanta, Orlando and Baltimore from Milwaukee. It is not going away, even if it loses out in the tender offer that expires May 16. Instead, it will add Las Vegas in August
The six biggest origin and destination markets from Milwaukee are Orlando, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Phoenix, Denver and New York LaGuardia. AirTran will soon serve three of them, and could easily add LaGuardia. It might lose money in some markets, but it has offered to pay $389 million for Midwest, raising a question: Might it be cheaper to add flights in key markets and squeeze Midwest out?
