I was taxiing from Landmark last night around 10:30pm and was advised by ground "caution trucks". I didn't think anything of it until I was on Zulu and saw a sea of flashing lights. Again, I figured they're out practicing on 1L. Nope. We got closer and it looked like a US Air 737 or Airbus (couldn't tell in the dark) was sitting a little sideways on the runway with lots of rescue equipment around. Any idea what happened? By the time we got down to Alpha, it seemed she was under power back to the gate.

Engine fire on the bus, crew did a low speed abort all ok.

Good to know...thanks WD. I was happy not to see Ambulance Personnel, so I figured it had to be something "minor". Only problem it caused was Ground not knowing where to send us for takeoff. Got to the middle of the gate area for 1R, then they sent us back through A5 to go back to 30...all in all, glad everyone's okay!
