Just wondering how many Jepp binders do the regional guys carry in their flight bags. Wanted to buy some used ones before class starts but dont know how many. Any info on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

What Regional? If you are asking about Big Sky with their massive 10 plane fleet I'd guess not many as their can't be that many destinations...1 should suffice. If you are asking about Eagle, Express Jet, or Commair each with 250+ planes and their route structure I'd buy 3 binders.

Not a regional here, but we have 16 just to cover US (8), Latin America (2), Canada (2), Alaska (1) and South America (3) for just one of our airplanes, 12 for all others (4 total)

So next time you'll doing a 3 book revision, twice a month, I'll trade ya duties!!!!

Welcome to the 135 world of having "every" airport over 5000 ft.

FUN!!!

i have 6....4 2" and 2 1" but I keep the GOM and POH in jepp binders cause they take up less room than the 2.5" plastic ones the company gives out

Two 2 inch binders for Jepps. I could probably get away with a 2 inch and a 1 inch, but its not worth it.

Call Leonard at ASA. He has a large room with stacks of Jepp binders--stacked to the ceiling--at least 3 X the 200 pilots that have left since last October.

your company should give you 3 or so binders. No need to buy any.

Two big ones, one 1", and an accordion for the en route charts (which I've never, ever used). I keep the charts for the trip in the 1" and clean it out when I do revisions, so the big ones only come out once a trip and when I do revisions.

Since Comair changed the reserve rules I have only flown two legs this month, which means I'm a little behind on revisions. I haven't done an overnight in over a month, which is totally beside the point, but quite a feat considering life on reserve at Comair.

Hi!

I'm like one of the other posters. I carry 0. The Falcons have 14, the DC-9s have 26 to cover the parts of N. America we fly in.

I'm at USA Jet, and we are hiring. Starting pay is $33K base and you can make more. 1 FO I know made $7K last Jun.

3 2" binders here.

None. all on the plane. the only thing I have to remember to bring is myself and my ID which has my squeeze light flashlight on it. hahaha

All of our planes carry Jepps which cover the eastern half of the US. In the office, we have all of North America. The office charts are 'checked out' for the occasional trip out west, to Mexico, or the Bahamas.

For most flights we print our charts off the computer using JeppView. This prevents the charts on the plane from becoming wrinkled, damaged, misplaced, and/or lost.

Oh yeah, we also get Q service updates from Jeppesen.

I have 2 2" Binders for the Jepps, a 1" binder that I put all the plates that I'm going to in a particular trip in, a 1" binder for my FOM, a 2" binder for my CFM and a wallet for the enroute charts that Jepp gave us with the subcription. I had 3 2" binders when we got the RNAV plates, but since removing them, I've gone down to 2 very full binders.
