Got offers at both. Just a couple of months back, I would have said Republic all the way...now I'm leaning more to Eagle.

From I few of the threads I read, it sounds like Republic might be losing steam. I hate to go there, not upgrade, and be out on the street in 3-4 years. What do the next 5 years look like there?

What about the "18 year" (might be less, can't remember) contract that eagle has with mainline AA? Does it limit other regionals from flying under AMR? If so when does it expire, and what will that do to eagle?

Our contract at Eagle does not expire till 2013, it is amendable every 4 years. The contract does not limit other regionals from flying for AMR, but AMR does own us. Chicken Taco(CHQ) has ten of our E-145's that they fly with the blue chicken. Things at Eagle have started to move, new hires will most likely make prop CA in three years and jet CA in 4-5 years.

Siucavflight, I pray you are right, but how will jet upgrades fall from a decade to 4-5 years? AA guys leaving will help, but with no growth, that will only get Saab upgrades in the 4-5 year area.

You do realize that after SEP 11th they did not hire anyone for 28 months, so when the last guy upgrades from 2001 the upgrade time will drop 28 months over night, we are losing 400 CAs back to AA, normal attrition, and the majors, and fractionals are going to be hiring like crazy. After a lot of research I chose Eagle for what I feel they have the potential to become, not where they are right now. It is all about getting in the right place at the right time, and now is the time to get into Eagle. IMO of course.

By this time next year at RAH you would have had about 700-800 pilots underneath you. ...Eagle over RAH...are u nuts? not IMO...fact!

How many growth airplanes are you getting? I've heard the Airways 170s are going to be sent to Frontier, to be replaced 1-for-1 with 175s plus however many growth airplanes were in the agreement...and let's not consider the Delta 175 rumor...
